NO ONES POV:
Anxious, you tapped you feet against the floor, waiting for the teacher to hand out your test results. The test was in fact your weakest subject: Science. Therefore, you worked extra hard this term to ensure you had the highest mark this year. Unfortunately tho, Science had to be Finney's favorite and best subject.
Yes, he was shy and intelligent, and you respected that, but he he never failed to be an ass hole regarding marks.
Both of you were the top students in the school, which fueled an academic rivalry between you two each year. Yes, he was self-reserved and fairly nice to everyone but you, the one he sees as his biggest competition.
Beads of sweat rolled down your forehead as you watched the flipped paper in your hands. You held a breath as you flipped the sheet over, peeking at the number written out in red. Your heart dropped.
Finney quietly walked over to you, but with a cocky smirk printed on his face and his test paper in hand, "Another 60 Y/L/n or did it drop to 59 this time?" He said laughing while proudly showing off his 90% as you glared daggers at him.
Boldly, but not uncommon, he snatched the paper from your hands to glimpse at your mark.
You tried to hold in your laugh when his paper fell to the ground as he gawked at the 100 scribbled out, in your teacher's messy but clear handwriting, and circled with a small gold star shining right in his face.
