Chapter 1: The Wanotreyx And The Bathaldraynor
The dark of night lit up by a crowd of guards holding torches, swords, bows and spears, chasing a lone kobold clutching a priceless crown in his hand, wearing a tight black suit stained with blood, an arrow piercing his left arm, suddenly slipping into the darkness of an alleyway which confuses the guards as they see nothing when they check, they lost the kobold but if they see it again, no mercy will be shown.
The kobold is running out of the city, tears in his eyes, ripping the arrow out of his arm and running until he can't run anymore, never looking back.
Kud the kobold, all alone, sitting in the grass, looking up at the night sky, trying to think optimistically, sure he has an arrow in his arm and is a wanted criminal, but with this crown, he could sell it and start a new life, if he can figure out where to sell it.
Kud had a backpack on him as well, he pulls a map out of it and looks over it, deciding on which kingdom to go to next, he isn't good at surviving in the wilderness, you can't steal things in the wilderness, so he needs to hide in cities most of the time
Kud is skimming through the map and sees a close by kingdom on there called Melagroth, the symbol for elf is above the name, thus it is comprised of mostly elves, which could be risky as regal elves might react horrible to a kobold, but kud is used to it, so he takes his compass and his map, and sets off towards Melagroth.
The journey isn't hard, kud has done this many times, and he doubts this is the last one, even if he can start a new life, deep down he knows that it might fail but he's trying to stay positive.
The sun rises over the horizon, filling the room with light, in the room was an elven prince, reluctant to wake up, he knows he will get yelled at either way so why bother...the prince lays there for half an hour before he hears a thump on his door, he isn't scared of it anymore but it sure is annoying.
He stands up, and walks to the door, opening it, seeing his horrid mother.
She screams insults at him, he just walks past her, he's used to it at this point, he just doesnt wanna deal with it, and she will cool off at some point.
Nobody respects him for who he is, they all expect him to fit into a mold, he hates it.He doesn't eat, he just tries wants to hide like he does most days, as a prince he doesn't have many responsibilities so he can hide from everyone if he really wanted to, and he does, he wishes he had excuses to do things but he doesn't, and he doesnt wanna try, these horrible feelings have become like a weighted blanket while also being why he needs the weighted blanket, and the more he hides under it the heavier it gets
Levis needs help, help he cant get, there's no way either of his parents would let him get help, and there's no way anyone would try to help out of fear of being executed, he constantly feels trapped, he always feels bad, he doesn't remember the last time he genuinely smiled.
He yearns for change he knows isn't coming, he wants some form of affection that isn't a lie to coax the public into thinking everything is ok.
Chapter 2: something new
After a week of travel, Kud arrives at melagroth, slipping into a alleyway before anyone notices him, navigating through them with ease, hoping to find a sheltered area, or some sort of sewer system, any place where he could set up camp for the night,
Kud finds an abandoned looking shed, walking inside there's several spiders and rusty tools, it looks like nobody has used this in a very long time, which makes Kud comfortable using this as shelter for awhile, after moving the tools out of the way he lays down his stuff carefully, although he doesn't leave the crown alone, at the moment he has it in a pouch tied to his right thigh, tightly closed and close enough to his hand that he could bat away anyone trying to steal it.
