I fangirl with Seth for awhile, saying how gorgeous Will's eyes are and how his outfit was on point today. He listens and I can't ignore the feeling of happiness in my chest.

We finally see two well dressed teens walking towards us. Kayla...and Will. I doubt she would make me talk to him, seeing her own past experiences with boys. I know Kayla's love life (real and fictional) and I can't help but feel a bit angry. Not a little. A lot actually. So many people have let her down. Sure some people can say that she loves too easily and cares too much or something. But that's a load of bullshit. If someone likes you and you don't like them back, there's no reason for you to treat them like crap. It really shouldn't matter how they look or whatever because the fact that they like you is enough to treat them like a friend. I wouldn't know though, this is all from Kayla. (100% gay, sexy, virgin right here *wink*wink*)
I feel Seth hurriedly tapping my arm.

"Bro, bro bro bro."

"What?"

We both notice the high pitch of my voice.

"Holy shit holy shit holy shit,"

"You think she's coming here with him or just talking?"

He asks, cleaning our table and straightening my collar.

"Naw, I told her I didn't want to talk to him."

"Does she have a crush on him?"

He asks suddenly.

"No, she has a crush on Dan."

"Oh yeah, right, right."

Our eyes lock and a I grin widely.
He smiles back and puts a hand on my shoulder. Kayla's almost here.
They haven't noticed us yet.

"Seth, I don't want to talk to him, I told her that!"

"It's fine, she knows what she's doing. I think."

I finally make eye contact with Kayla and she waves. She looks nervous. I wave back and glance at Will. He waves too.
I wave back trying hard not to freak out.
I see Kayla watching me. I know she knows exactly how I'm feeling.
She stops and says something to him. He refuses. She seems really freaked out. Crap.

"I don't think she brought him here. She looks..."

"Yeah..."

And then they walk up to out table.

"Hey guys!"

She says cheerfully. Her eyes say another story. They say something like
So so sorry, I didn't plan this, God help me.
Will and Seth high-five.
He looks at me and smiles.

"Hey Cal, wassup?"

"Uh, hey! Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I mean...uh nothing much."

I smile to diffuse the awkwardness. It seems to work. He looks at Kayla, then back to us and says,

"I invited Kayla to the party I was having next weekend and when she mentioned you two I was like oh my god yes! Let's invite them too!"

He laughs a little and I suddenly realize that Will seems a bit shy.

"He also insisted that he personally extend the invitation."

Kayla adds, annoyed.
He smirks.

"I am a gentleman."

She rolls her eyes and Seth shakes his head. I laugh.
Will looks at me.

His.

Eyes.

My god.

"See, Cal thinks I'm funny."

He walks over to me puts an arm on my shoulder, sitting in between Seth and I.
Shit.
This just went from butterflies to freaking I'm going to throw up.

"That's it none of you are invited anymore. Just me and Cal. Best bitches till the end."

Kayla sits on the opposite bench as Seth scoffs. I can tell she's freaking out.

"Please, if there's one person that should be invited it should be me. Besides you just met him. "

He squeezes my shoulder.

"To hell with it, I got a good feeling about this one."

"You sure it's not a boner?"

All three of our jaws drop as we stare at Kayla. She doubles over, laughing.

"Oh my god! You faces!"

She tries to talk while she's laughing but all I hear is

"Can y- eve- feela bone-??"

I see tears in her eyes and I grin. Then all three of us are dying laughing.

"Hey Kayla, you wanna check?"

She shakes her hand.

"No! Fuck no-,"

She takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself.

"But...uh...I think Cal would like to."
Will turns his head to me.
