MADISONS POV

"rea's coming over"

I roll my eyes

"who's rea?"

"we've been friends since we were little she used to be really cool but she was at school the day of the shooting and she lost her boyfriend now she's all depressed and shit"

"woah that's really sad"

"yeah, but personally I dodged a bullet by not going to school that day"

"what the fuck?"

"sorry, poor choice of words"

REAS POV

"oh hello mrs hayes is madi upstairs?"

"oh! yes she is and we're having roast so your welcome to stay for dinner"

she sweetly smiles at me but I felt so sick thinking about eating

"oh thanks but I promised miguel I'd be home tonight"

"that's alright I can drop you off later if you like?"

"that'd be great thanks"

I quickly move away from madisons mom and run upstairs before her brother finds out I'm here because I'm starting to suspect he likes me and the kids thirteen, it weirds me out.

"hey madi"

"hey rea"

she replied bluntly

"who's this?"

I smile and wave at the other girl sitting on her bed

"oh yeah, this is rue she's a new player on my hockey team she's gonna transfer to our school"

"oh cool you must be really good at hockey then"

of course she's good at hockey she's literally on the elite team, why did I say that?

"uhm yeah, I guess"

she goes back to cutting a piece of fabric

"so.. what are you guys doing?"

"making out costumes for aidens halloween party"

"it's going to be really fun you should come with us"

"rue, respectfully, why would you ask her? it was supposed to be just us"

she whispers but I could still hear

"it's okay I don't think I can make it anyway I'm supposed to be handing out candy this year since miguels gonna hang with his friends and my parents will be at a work function"

I turn my phone on to check the time

"I better go"

I start to walk out the room

"bye?"

"bye rea nice meeting you!"

"uh yeah you too"

I wave at her and run down the stairs before madis mom or brother could see me.

rea and rue, seriously madi?
