My Name is Sam

Hi. My name is Sam. A lot of people make fun if my name because it's a boy name, but I have friends. I am 12 and don't ask me, I am abused about 24/7. I might be going for adoption but I am not sure yet. My dad is very mean. He sometimes acts like a nice guy but hey, he is not even close to being nice . He's only nice to my mother and " smart " brother, Jack. Today after school my dad heard I got a C- on my test and he killed me. " Get over here right now young lady!" I knew it was my grades. " Yes dad" I said. " I told you bad grades or any bad things your getting beaten!" He said. " I know. Only I don't get to practice so please dad please don't whip me I am your daughter!" I sob. He says the same thing but in a baby voice. He pulls out his whip and whips me 3 times. I cry so hard I run upstairs and scream in my pillow. My mom hears me a little and comes in my room. " What's wrong sweetie?" My mom is always nice. " Cant you guess?" I sob. " If I am right, it was your father" my mom says. " Exactly, but because of my grades. I got a C- and he got mad" I tell her while trying not to cry. " I will talk to him again about respect not only to Jack but to you too"mom says. Thank God somebody finally cares! I thought in my head.
