It had been a long plane ride home. Hetty was exhausted, and a bit surprised to get a text from Owen asking her if it was okay for him to come over.
'I suppose so. But I should warn you, I'm a bit tired. Flight was long, and I mainly just want to eat and gets some rest.' She texted back.
Later.
'You ordered pizza? That is, very nice of you.' Hetty said when she saw the pizza box.
'You know I'd do anything to please you, right? We, I know you like pizza, and I'm bad at cooking. Figured this was a good compromise.' Granger replied.
'Well, come on in!'
After dinner.
'You okay? Or are you just tired?' Granger asked when he saw how gloomy Hetty looked.
'Maybe a bit of both. I was just thinking of Mr. Callen and how his search for the past appears to be over for now.' Hetty replied.
'Well, you were just giving him the info you got, right?'
'Right. But that doesn't mean I liked telling him. I think deep down inside, he wanted his father to still be alive.'
'Well, there's nothing we can do about it now, so I don't see the point of worrying about it too much.' Granger replied.
Then he saw Hetty's uncomfortable look.
'That was a bit insensitive to say, wasn't it?'
'A bit. But in a way, you're right. Even though I don't like it.' Hetty replied.
'How about a hug, hm? To try and ease the tension?'
Surprised at his request, given that he wasn't much of a hugger. Hetty accepted his kind offer, and they hugged.
'Mmm. You'd make a good bed partner.' Hetty remarked.
'Are you asking me if I want to sleep over?' Granger asked.
'In the guest room, obviously. I'm not quite ready to, you know. Even without the making out parts.'
'Fair enough.'
