When I woke up my head ached and my hands were bound. I opened my eyes to see that I was in the back of a van with a blue interior, there were other girls just like me in the van. Although each of them had different binds to me. One girl opposite me had been gaged with her hands tied behind her back, the girl next to me had all her senses taken away sight,sound ect, the girl next to the girl opposite me had been cased in a full body straight jacket. Who were these fucked up people?
I knew that I didn't want to stick around and find out. I started to strugle against my restraints but nothing worked it almost seemed like they were getting tighter. "It's not going to work" I looked up to see that it was the girl in the straight jacket that had said that. "Why the hell not!" I whisper shouted incase the people driving heard us. "Their enchanted ropes you idiot." She said completely indifferent. I looked at her then at the ropes completely in shock "they've found me." I sat there feeling like the whole world had fallen out from under me pushing me into a big black hole. I never cry I refuse to but given the circumstances I let it all pour out. I sat there in dispare for what felt like years but it took only two seconds for the girl next to me to attempt a comforting hug. Even though I didn't know this girl I returned the hug anyway and took comfort in that someone was here for me. "I'm Erika." I look up at the girl I was just talking to, to see a sympathetic look on her face. I wipe the tears away and try to regain some composure and dignity "Saphire" we both smile at eachother when something unexpected happens the van stops and panic insues on all our faces.
The vans back doors open and i'm blinded by a bright light. I closed my eyes because the light was too much. The second I did so I started to hear screaming. "Erika? Erika?!" No reply. I felt a strong pair of hand grab onto my sholders this instantly made me open my eyes to see a tall, muscular, tan man. I struggled for dear life to free myself from his grip but it was no use, still I didn't give up I never give up.
'Chris leave that one to me she's a fighter." With that I was thrown onto the gravel road. I look up to see where the voice had come from and I couldn't believe what I saw "Alex?" I tried to rub my eyes incase this was some sort of fucked up dream. "The one and only sis." He smiled at me showing off his pearly white teeth that i've always been jelous of and I couldn't help but smile back.
He helped me up and I jumped into his arms and put my arms around his neck. "I can't believe you're alive." I felt myself starting to cry but i've already cried once today I don't need to again so I controlled myself. "You know me sis I always got something to pull outta my back pocket." I gave him a small chuckle and he smiled at me but it soon stopped when he realised I was still tied by my hands. "Let me get those for you." I looked at him confused what he ment by that but I didn't have much time to comptemplate it because before I knew it he'd waved his hand over the ropes and they started to loosen. "How'd you do that?" He gave me an are you serious look and then it clicked "you inherited aunt Opal's gift." I was shocked, how couldn't I have realised this when we were growing up? "Give her an award!" We both laughed.
It was only now that we realised that we were'nt the only one's here "we'll catch up later." He whispered as he went to Erika and the other two girls and got rid of all their restraints starting with Erika he used him power to undo her straight jacket showing everyone what she was wearing underneath. She was wearing a black diagonal cut tank top with grey ripped jean shorts and checkered all stars which complemented her long deep red hair. Although I wasn't expecting bright white wings to sprout from the middle of her back. I gasp. She laughed "what? You thought your family were the only ones?" We both smiled at eachother. I've got a feeling we're gonna get along great.
Alex went onto the next girl which was the one that had been gagged and tied behind her back. He did the same again removing her restraints. She was blonde with short hair that came to her shoulders with a full fringe. She was wearing a white blouse and high waisted black jeans and black high heeled peep toes. Alex looked her up and down and asked her calmly what was her name and power "my name is Mara and when I scream it knocks people out." Alex smiled and tipped his head as if to say thank you. He's always done that; he does it because he hates saying thank you. Alex continued to move on this time to the girl who had no senses and undid her restaints she had dirty blonde hair that had been pixie cropped over her left eye. She was wearing a strappless skintight leopard print top with a black fitted leather jacket with a black mini skirt and ankle boots. "Name and power" Alex politely asked and as he was about to ask again she took her jacket and boots off and unzipped the back of her skirt when she stopped she closed her eyes and turned into large female leopard. The leopard started to look around and stopped when her eyes landed on me and then something extroardinary happened she bowed to me. I gasped and looked at Alex for an explanation but he just looked at me angry then back at the leopard "Change back" he said with authority she nodded and obliged she pulled up her skirt and put her jacket and boots back on. "Eva" Alex kept his eyes on her for a moment longer and then returned to his happy go lucky self. "Welcome all four of you to your new home for the next five years. We call this place Lilith Academy for the Exceptional or LAE for short. We havn't got alot of time so i'll make this quick there are at least five different types of students here elemental, scionic, shapeshifter, fledgling and animalistic. This means that the dorms have been split into five different sections. Scionic and elemental on the left side of campus shapeshifter and animalistic on the right and fledgling behind the school building, my advice to you is if you haven't met or seen one before don't go over there at night they can be quite unpredictable. Hospital wing is opposite the mess hall south east of campus and gymnasium and swimming pool north of that. If you should ever have any question my office is on the top floor of the school can't miss it.
After you are shown your dorms and are settled in you shall be taken to the gymnasium where you will be put into power placement it will be determined what level you are what evolutionary stage you are at and most importantly what classes you will be attending because of this. Good luck."
After that Alex left us standing there to let it soak in. The gravity of what he's just explained but there was one thing still nagging at me. Why did Eva bow to me and why did it make Alex so angry?
