Love In Misery

PROLOGUE

Kaagad akong tumakbo nang makalabas ako sa taxi na sinasakyan ko. I reached for our gate and opened it.

Nasa loob na siya..

A part of me wants to run away and call the taxi back so I can ride on it again, pero kailangan ko pa rin na pumasok dahil alam kong magagalit siya.

I was trembling as I reached the door of our house and held the doorknob. Dahan dahan kong binuksan ang pinto saka maingat na pumasok sa loob ng bahay.

Silence reigned in each and every corner of the house. Tumungo ako sa hagdanan saka binuksan ang pinto ng kwarto ko.

"Is he here already?"bulong ko sa sarili.

Nilapag ko ang dala kong sling bag at kinuha ang cellphone ko mula roon. I went outside my room and walked toward my husband's room.

As I opened the door of his room, I saw him sitting on his swivel chair with his arms both resting on his chair's armrest. His bloodshot eyes looked at me with a dark aura and full of rage.

How can this near perfect man turn into the monster that I fear the most?

"Where have you been?"he asked coldly.

"Sa grocery store. M-may binili l-lang."I tried not to stutter even though I'm trembling in fear.

"Stop lying Thaira. Like what you always do."he said and stood up without taking his eyes off me.

"Where have you been?!"sigaw nito kaya napapikit kaagad ako kasabay ng pagtulo ng luha sa aking mga mata.

"S-sa pharmacy t-tapos sa h-hospital..."nanginginig na ani ko.

Isang malakas na sampal ang iginawad niya sa 'kin. Ramdam ko ang pamamanhid ng kanang pisngi ko matapos matanggap ang sampal na iyon.

"Sinungaling!Manloloko!Saan ka galing?!"pasigaw ulit na tanong nito saka sinampal ako sa kabilang pisngi.

I cried hard after recieving his slap.This is not him, this is not how he used to treat me.

"Believe me Jax..."umiiyak na ani ko saka lumuhod.

"Really?Eh anong ginagawa mo sa pharmacy at hospital kung ganoon?Don't tell me na may sakit ka?Ano?Karma na ba 'yan?"nakangising tanong nito saka dahan dahang hinubad ang kanyang sinturon.

"Please don't hurt me,please..."halos humalik na ako sa paa niya dahil alam kong sasaktan niya ako gamit ang sinturon niya.

"'Di ba sinabi ko na 'wag kang aalis ng bahay? And incase you want to go out, I should know?! But still,you're secretly going out! Probably because you're meeting someone again!"sigaw niya at pinalo ang bakal ng sinturon sa mukha, sa braso at sa likod ko.

I arched my back as I endured the pain, still crying and begging for him to stop.

"Jax please,tama na...B-buntis ako!"ani ko kaya napatigil siya sa paghampas ng sinturon sa akin.

He looked at me intently with a shocked expression as he was breathing heavily.

But later on,his face became serious as if he heard nothing and a minute after...he smirked .

"Sinong ama?"as he asked that,I had the urge to slap him.

"Of course ikaw! You're my husband and we did that thing already!"sigaw ko sa kanya.

"Malay ko ba kung hindi lang ako ang gumalaw sa'yo? What if you fucked other men while we were?Like what you did before?"nakangising pa rin na sabi nito.

"Ganoon na ba kababaw ang tingin mo sa'kin huh Jax?!That was a mistake!I already asked for your forgiveness!Nagsisi na ako!"

"But that doesn't change the fact that you cheated on me Thaira! Yes marrying at a very young age is such a big mess!,"his voice broke.

"But I tried so hard to make things work for us! Nilunod ko yung sarili ko sa trabaho just to give you the wealthy life I promised you! Pero anong ginawa mo? You fucked my bestfriend just because you think na nahihirapan ka!,"he added.

I saw how his eyes watered as he said those words. He sounded so hurt, no, he's hurt.

"Now tell me,who's the father of your child?"mariing tanong nito.

"Ikaw Jax.Believe me, it's you."patuloy pa rin ako sa pag iyak.

Bumalik siya sa pwesto niya kanina saka umupo ulit sa swivel chair. He messed his hair and covered his face with his palms.

Lumapit ako sa kanya at muling lumuhod. I rested my head on his lap and hugged his waist.

Slowly, he brushed my hair with his fingers. When I thought everything's okay, my phone suddenly rang.

Jax immediately stood up and reached for my phone,only to find out that my friend Youro, is calling and even left a message.

'Kapag sinaktan ka niya ulit ay magsabi ka. Tutulungan kitang idemanda siya.'

Nagpakawala siya ng malalim na buntong hininga at sarkastikong natawa.

"Tangina!"galit na sigaw nito saka binato ang cellphone ko dahilan para mabasag ito.

"Sabi ko na nga ba eh!"he grabbed my hair and slapped me.

He dragged me out of his room,and again slapped me when we reached the stairs.

Humakbang ako paatras and lose my balance. Alam ko, nahulog ako sa hagdanan, and when I finally reached the end of the stairs, I felt the pain in my stomach and head.

Nang tingnan ko ang aking binti ay may dugo na roon, as I watch the blood flowing from my thigh, I gasped and suddenly lose my conciousness...
