Chapter 1

Alright guys, this is my first fanfic. I really hope you guys like it. Here goes everything :)

Melanie's POV

There I was. Having the time of my life at my favorite band’s concert. I didn’t know who was around me, but I didn’t care. Niall then looked me in the eye and I screamed. Next thing I know, I am backstage, listening to them. 

Okay, Let me explain. 

Hi. My name is Melanie Davis. I am currently in high school, and I am 16 years old. I have dark brown hair and blue eyes. My closest friends are Kaylynn Read, Sabrina Jones, and Sadie Lewis. They are my life. One day at school, Kaylynn (or Kay) was crying. “What’s wrong Kay?” I asked. She shook her head. I sat through 1st period biology wondering what was going on. Kay, Sabrina and I share 2nd period Spanish together, so I decided to ask her then. This time, she said “I’ll tell you after class.” We were walking to our next class and she said “My mom is making me move to Arizona.” I replied, “Oh my God! When!?” 

She waited a couple minutes, then replied “Right after school lets out for summer break.” 

She had concert tickets to see our favorite band, and even though she wasn't planning on taking me, I asked what she was going to do with the tickets she had, not wondering if I should have asked. She said she was going to give them to her friend, but lately that friend had been a jerk. I timidly asked “C-Co-Could I have them?” My heart began pounding, and I knew that I shouldn’t have asked. She then said “Of course you can have them, if I can’t see them, I would want you to see them.” I squealed, and got some funny looks in the hallway. “Thank you!” I screamed, and hugged her so tightly. We then walked to our next class together.  

Fast forward to summer break

So now here I am, backstage, listening to my favorite band of all time perform. Right before, when I was in the crowd, a security guard came over to me, and said “Come with me.” I was waiting for the concert to be over, before I asked someone what was going on. The group performed their last song, Live While We’re Young. I asked a security guard what was going on. They ran off stage, changed into their normal clothes and came over to me. I couldn’t believe what was happening. He said “why don’t you ask them?” 

They came over to me and said “Hi, we’re One Direction.” My jaw dropped to the floor. I managed to stutter out “Hi, I’m Melanie, but call me Mel.” We stood there for a minute. I asked then, “What am I doing back here?” The boys looked immediately at Niall, who started blushing. He said, still blushing, “I looked you in the eye, and I knew that there was something special about you, so I had security pull you backstage.” 

Then, everything went black. 

Niall's POV

I had managed to say, but stuttering "I looked you in the eye, and I knew that there was something special about you, so I had security pull you backstage.” When I was through, Mel was shaking a little bit, then almost fell, but luckily Liam and Zayn saw it before the rest of us, and caught her. They carried her to a small room, and Louis called his mum to take care of her.

Louis' mum arrived about 30 minutes later, since we were performing in England. She said Mel had a minor concussion.
