The two of you slowly step toward one another feeling the world around you disappear and only feeling each other in this one moment. Dabi gently puts his hand on your face, caressing your cheek. He leans down at you only seconds away from a kiss. You close your eyes, and all you feel is his breath on your lips.
*BANG BANG BANG*
You both shoot open your eyes, startled by the noise.
"What was that?" Dabi asks.
"Someone is at the door" you reply.
You walk over to the door and crack it open, you see hawks standing there.
"what are you doing here?" you ask.
"I came to check up on you." he says.
"oh... um i'm fine but thanks." you say.
"are you sure you seem flushed, your cheeks are all red." he asks.
As you and hawks are having this conversation Dabi is next to you with his hand on your waist.
"yeah haha i'm fine, i'll see you tomorrow?" you say abruptly.
"uh yeah i guess, goodnight y/n." hawks says while leaving.
You quickly shut the door and lock it.
"Why did he come to check up on you?" Dabi asks
"Oh i don't know he probably wants to make sure nothing went wrong when i went to go meet up with you." you say.
"I don't like him." Dabi says annoyed.
"why not?" you ask.
"Because he shouldn't feel the need to make sure you are okay. Only i need to do that, plus i would never hurt you." Dabi says.
"I know you wouldn't but hawks doesn't know who you really are." you reply.
"Well do you like him?" Dabi asks looking down.
"What? no, not like that. Just as a co-worker." you reply giggling.
"ok...good." he says still not looking at you.
"Do you like me?" you asks smiling.
Dabi shoots his head up staring at you blushing.
"Lets go to bed." he says as he walks to your bed.
"Both of us?" you say
"yes." he replies
"But for tonight we are just going to sleep, you have had a long day." he adds
You both climb into bed and you lay into his chest feeling the comfort you had craved for years, the feeling of safety. He wraps his arms around you nuzzling his head on top of yours and turns off the lights.
-Dabi's POV-
She asked me if i like her. Of course i like her i...love her. She's everything to me, i can't mess this up i can't fail to protect her and make sure she is safe, now that she is in my life again. There is nothing i wouldn't do for her.

The two of you drift off into a deep sleep finally together.
