once we got home we all went to my chill room and sat on the couch and kinda just chilled me and josh decided to play some 2k and i whooped his ass. the twins talking about dance or something and the girls on their phones doing idk what, i was in the middle of a game with josh when ari placed her head on my shoulder, i looked down at her for a second and my heart melted she looked adorable "you okay?" i ask softly still watching the game and still whooping his ass "yeah, just tired." she mumbled, and exactly on time brian suggested we all nap for a little bit seeing it was 2 pm, we all agreed and headed up to the rooms. i changed into some sweats and just took my top off while ariana just stayed in her, well my clothes, cause it was just some sweats and a jumper. i sat up agains the headboard waiting for her to join, and we seemed to find ourselves in the same position we were the night before, "hey y/n?" she says softly not wanting to disturb the silence i hummed telling her to continue " if you dont mind me asking, wheres your family, how do you pay for all this?" she turned towards me i let out a silent breath and went to speak "well im an only child and my parents are always working overseas so they are rarely here they just send money every week but i dont spend that much so i have a little bit saved." i said she hummed and laid her head on my chest, "im so glad we were put in that group y/n/n" she mumbles, " yeah me too ari."
i woke up facing ariana's back cause we were spooning i smiled this is the happiest ive been in ages, i slowly reach over my back being sure i dont wake up the girl beside me and checked the time, 5:40, oh wow i slept longer than i thought my mouth was dry and it was pissing me off so i carefully removed myself from ari's body and lifted the doona off my body and rubbed my eyes as i sat up and left the room slowly closing the door. i step into the kitchen and it seems no one else is up so i grab a cup and fill it up and scull it and fill it up again but only taking a sip and pouring it out. as i finish rinsing out the cup ariana comes into the kitchen "hey" she says as she comes and hugs me, i smile down at her "hey ari, whats up?" i asked, she looks up at me and oh my lord her eyes, i can get lost in them forever and not complain once "you left me, you were warm and comfy." she whines i look up and chuckle and i look back down at her but the tension seems thicker as i stare deeply into her beautiful brown doe eyes as she does me. i feel myself slowly leaning in, and notice her doing the same we were as close as we were in class, except i could feel her lips ghosting mine both of us too scared to do anything, i mean its too early isnt it? we've only known each other for a day, i dont wanna rush, she has pete- my thoughts are cut off by the sound of the others laughing and talking as they walk down the stairs. both of us realising how close we are and quickly remove ourselves and i lean against the counter while she looks towards the others as the enter the kitchen and they seem to notice the tension as they quiet down and look between the both of us but thank god for josh as he quickly cut it short "im hungry," he says groaning, the others start a conversation a bout where to eat while me and ariana make eye contact thinking about the moments before, and what would have happened if their friends waited just 1 more minutes.
After an hour of 'umm'ing and 'uhhh'ing we all decided on this little diner about 40 minutes away, why that far? no clue but anyway, me and ari headed to the room about 5 minutes ago and ive been trying to find an outfit but i cant focus. my mind was clouded with ariana and what happened in the kitchen, shaking my head clear of the thoughts i pick up an outfit and decide to just go with it, it was practical anyway seeing we weren't doing anything crazy.
