Fallen For The Unexpected

My Birthday Part 1

"Happy Birthday baby" I felt two arms snake around my waist and a kiss to my neck "You're finally the same age as me"

"Oh you make yourself sound so much older than me" I tease turning to face him "Your only a month older Danny"

"And don't you forget it babe" He leaned in and placed a soft kiss to my lips "So did you like the present"

"You mean the gorgeous tiffany bracelet you had sent to me?" I ask holding my wrist up to show him I had it on "It's beautiful thank you" I kissed him again.

"Anything for my baby" He then takes my hand in his and leaded me out to his car that was parked in his drive way next door.

"Where we going?"

"It's a surprise, but you'll like it I promise" I just nod and get into the car when he opens the door for me and he was right I did love the surprise when we got there. That very day Danny took me to an ice rink. It was the most adventurous birthday I've ever had.

I laid awake in the bed after being awake for at least an hour. Tamie and Avery both left me a note saying they had to get the last bits of my birthday sorted and that they'll be back in an hour. I finally find the strength and push the covers back and climb out of bed. I slowly make my way over to the window and look out to see Brody's curtains were closed. He never had them closed. I sigh to myself and run my fingers through my blond locks as I crossed my arms and walked away and into my bathroom to get ready for the day to actually begin.

After my shower I got dressed into an over sized cream sweater and a pair of white leggings. I slipped into my fluffy ugg boot type slippers and waltz out of my room and head down to the kitchen where I grab a bottle of water and pop a pop tart into the toaster. There was a knock at the door so I skip down the hall and open the front door.

"Hi, are you Skilar Hartley?" The guy asks holding out a parcel for me. I looked pass him and see a brand new shiny black BMW parked beside my car.

"That I am" I nod with a smile

"This is for you" He passed me the parcel and then held out a set of keys "And for you" My eyes widened and I took the keys as well "Happy birthday Skilar" He smiled at me again and then walked away. I walked back inside and walked back down the hall and went into the kitchen again and took my pop tart out of the toaster.

I opened the parcel and saw a scrap book that was made by Sutton. I opened it and saw pictures of our childhood and us growing up. It was sweet and it brought tears to my eyes that's for sure. I then saw the feather earrings and a black clutch bag with a design on it that my Mom sent over for me. I then saw a note on the clutch bag.

Hi darling, hope you like these. Wear them on your birthday and you'll look extra amazing. I love you. Mom xxx

I then felt my phone buzz in my sweater pocket. I pulled it out and see Sutton's name flashing. I put everything down on the side and bite into my pop tart as I answer on the third ring "Hello" I uncap my water bottle and take a gulp.

"Happy Birthday Ski" She chirped down the phone like everything that happened over Christmas didn't happen "Did you get my present?"

"I did, thank you Sutton" I reply as I jump up on the side and look through the book again. The pictures made me smile and it was amazing she put a lot of effort and time into this. I thought she didn't care about me. I thought I wasn't anything and now this proves me wrong. Maybe our sisterhood could be mended after all "Happy Birthday Sutton"

"Thank you for my present too Ski. I loved it" I brought her a white and gold horse necklace that had her name spelt across it. Ever since we were younger Sutton had been in love with horses "I really wish you were here Ski. I miss you" And I missed her too. I really missed my sister and how we used to be.
