(TW Health problems in a newborn (sry about that), ignorant medical staff)
The two weeks were over semi-quickly. Sometimes, the time felt like it went away in a blink and sometimes not. Especially the check up's felt like hours.
After about a week, you were allowed to finally stand up and walk VERY slowly. Well, it was not like you wanted to walk faster. The C-section took a lot of you and every step hurt. But that was okay. You didn't mind.
All the time you were there, nobody besides your closes friends new what hospital you were in, for safety reasons. Nobody wanted something like the kidnapping happen again.
As the day that you could leave finally came, you noticed something strange with Yuna, specifically her breathing. You told the nurses, but they couldn't care less. After the amount of times you were in the hospital the past months, they grew tired of you and didn't take you serious anymore. But you knew something was wrong, you could feel it.
After slowly getting to the car, you put the twins in their little baby seats. "Let me sit in the back, something doesn't feel right." You tell your husband. "Sure thing. You do what feels best for you." He replies as the both of you put on your seat belts.
After driving half a kilometre, you notice that Yuna's breathing seems rather heavy. As you inch closer, you notice a whistling sound every time she breaths out.
Parental instinct→on."Turn around!" you exclaim. No questions asked by the other side. Not even a second after you you said that, the car turns around, wheels screeching as it turns.
"What is it?" Shouta asks, fully focused on the road. "I'm not exactly sure but I think something is wrong with Yuna's lungs. Her breath makes this whistling sound." you tell him, your finger sliding over your daughter's cheek. You weren't as concerned as you thought you'd be, but at the same time, you saw something like this happening in the first place.
With all this happening, Yuri could not be bothered. Even though the car is driving at a high speed, he sleeps through it the whole time.
As you arrive back at the hospital, you take the baby seat that Yuna is in out of the car and rush through the entrance. In the corner of your eye you can see the lips of your little newborn turn blue. You fasten your pace, although you feel a slight pain in your lower abdomen.
At the information, you see one of the nurses that didn't like you the most. "Oh, you again. What is it now. Let me guess. Does your baby have a little scratch. Before you start your little rant, it's probably nothing." she tells you before you could even start talking to her. Oh how you hated her.
"If you think that blue is a natural colour for a new borns lips, then it's probably nothing. If not so, I would appreciate it if YOU WOULD DO YOUR JOB AND HELP US." you yell at her after putting the car seat with Yuna on the desks so that the nurse can take a look. "Or do I need to look for someone who is doing a better job than you?" you ask, now slightly out of breath.
The eyes of the nurse widen as you hear a small "please follow me" escaping her lips.
Yuna get's taken out of her car seat carefully and you get shoved out of the room. Now everything that is currently happening is setting into your mind. You feel pain, but not only mentally. You finally look down from where you noticed pain earlier and see blood seeping through your shirt.
"I think I require medical attention!"
A not-so-short while after, you are sitting in an armchair with a few more stitches to hold together your C-section under a layer of bandages. In your arms you have a small bundle that is your daughter, listening to every breath that goes in and out.
Shortly after you got your daughter back, Shouta storms in, one hand occupied by your son in the car seat you left him before. However, you do not even notice, too much in your own thoughts until your partner gives you a small kiss on the cheek, your focus turning to him.
"They said she has asthma. Bronchial asthma to be exact." you whisper, your voice slightly cracking. "I'm sorry." Shouta tells you in his low voice, pressing his forehead lightly against yours. "But it's not your fault" "And neither is it yours." and that was your breaking point. Tears flow out of your eyes uncontrollably like thick marbels falling from your face on the little figure in your arms. Shouta slowly takes you in his arms, not to hard to not crush your child.
"Let's go home, shall we?" He asks after a short while as you were able to stop crying.
On the way out, you see THE nurse again. Too tired to deal with her at the moment, you stoped next to her to just tell her "You will hear from us". Getting support from your husband while walking, you leave the hospital, not looking back.
Finally at home, you get the small babies out of the seats into little baby clothes for them to sleep in. Putting them in the crib in the nursery, you make your way into the living room. "They're both sleeping, for now" you tell you husband who is already sitting on a sofa. "Are you hungry?" he asks you ask you slowly sit down as to not re-open your cut again. "Not much, just a little bit." you say, almost half asleep.
A minute after he went into the kitchen, he brings you a small portion of pasta. You both sit there in a comfortable but at the same time hurt full silence. After finishing your plate of pasta, you put it on the coffee table infront of you and cuddle into your husband.
"I'm tired" you whisper, the tiredness showing in your voice. "I know" Shouta answers, making you feel the vibrations of him talking through the cuddling, giving you a feeling of comfort.
And Yuri all this time? He was asleep.
Although that day has been stressful, the next few days were spend with a lot of cuddles as a whole family, no incidents happening.
