Year: 1st year

Relationship: Father and child (please, hear me out in the AN)

AN: THIS IS NOT AN INCEST/ PEDOPHILE STORY! This is just a story where you are Nevilles child and you are scared you won't get into gryffindor (like your dad). It's basically like the last scene in dh 2, whit harry and his son, but it's you and Neville. Spoiler alert, you are a gryffindor in this story.

R/H: a random house of your choice (wich isn't gryffindor)

Y/M/N: Your middle name

Your P.O.V:

My dad, Neville Longbottom, and I ran through the wall between 9 and 10, and we ended up, just like dad told me, on platform 9 ¾. It looked mesmerizing, I mean, yeah sure, it was just a trainstation, but it wasn't an ordinary one. It was magical, as I stared in amazmend, I thought about the houses, and my face turned from pure excitement, to a rather sad expression. My father seemed to notice my change of emotions and asked "What's wrong, Sweetie?" "Dad," I began to ask seriously, "you know I'm not brave at all. I don't think I will make it into gryffindor." His gaze softened as he bended down to me. Softly, he spoke "Y/N, Y/M/N Longbottom, it doesn't matter to me what house you get sorted in, as long you are happy, I am. I will always be proud of you, no matter what house your in." "But Papa, what if I get sorted into R/H?" "Then R/H will have a wonderful, talented and beautiful new student."

Timeskip
You're at Hogwarts and got sorted into gryffindor (AN: omg, what a surprise, bet ya you didn't expect this, after I said it in the first AN)

Dear Papa

Today was the day I got sorted into my house, looks like I am a gryffindor. Even tho the sorting head said I'm a "brave soul", I still don't think I belong in gryffindor. Everyone hear is s o brave, and my perfect expects from us to follow the lead of people like you, who brought great honor to our house. I just don't think I'm good enough for this great house. Whatsoever, I...(*here you can just imagine you writing some other stuff about your first day at hogwarts.*)

After a week or so, I got a letter from my dad, responding to the one I send earlier that month. It read:

Dear Y/N,

It's great that you got sorted into gryffindor! You can be proud of you, and the hat was correct, you have a brave soul, you just haven't discovered it yet. I wasn't aware of my bravery either when I came into hogwarts, but the sorting had still ended up being correct, like he always is. When I was in hogwarts, I often got bullied for being shy, now look at me, I brought great honor to our house. No matter how unsure you are right now, you will bring honor to our house, can be this year, or in 7 years, but i know you will. (*Here he just replies to the other stuff you wrote.*)

Way more confident with myself, I tried my best to bring the honor my perfect expected me to bring.

(AN: This is a little shorter and lazier one, but I had this in my mind and still decided to do it even tho I'm tired af)
