Chapter 1: Before the Wish

"Vega," I grumbled. "Can't you act more... I don't know, realistic?" Here I am sitting in the Theatre holding the script I created.

"West, if she goes any louder she will be screaming. She is doing great," Andre, who's standing right next to Tori, defending his best friend.

" Andre,"Tori started "just let her be. Its her play she can tell me what I'm doing wrong." Signing she walks to face me. Both of us look each other in the eyes. " How do you want to do it, Jade?"

I grin. I love being the Director in this play, even if I was supposed to be the lead. But Sikowitz decide to give other people a chance since he is producing it. I mean its whatever since it is still my play. So they have to do what I say when I say it.

"Your acting is terrible," I say without a care.

"What the hell Jade!?" Tori was getting offended. " This is the fifth time you stopped me and you give me that reasoning! I'm done working with you! I quit!"

I suppose I won. This made my day. "Bye," I said and and laughed as she grabbed her stuff and walked to the door.

"Excuse me," a voice stopped her in her tracks. "Where are you going, Tori?" Sikowitz asked as he made Tori walk back to where I stood. Signing I walked to face her again.

"Both of you please step outside with me," Sikowitz demanded and we proceed as told.

" What happened between you two?" Sikowitz crossed his hands on his chest, giving us both a glare.

Tori was the one who opened her mouth." Jade thinks my acting is terrible so she won't let me finish my part. She said stitching my mouth shut would help."

I smirked thinking i did a good job pissing her off. " Jade," Sikowitz said to me, clearly not very happy. " I watched the first rehearsal and there was nothing wrong Tori's acting."

" Wonder why?" Tori said questioning me.

I huffed. Of course this old man will side with her. " I'm the director here. So if i say her acting is bad, others will agree."

"I don't like this attitude of yours, Jade" Sikowitz said to me as his eyes are giving me a hard glare." if you continue being selfish, i will remove you from this play and you will receive an F for this semester."

"That's not fair!" I cried out. " it's all Tori's fault and her terrible acting skills! I am the director. I'm suppose to tell her what to do. That is my job."

"Oh, you want to stitch my mouth closed?" Tori asked, now she's clearly mad.

"But all is well now, Sikowitz! She's leaving so it's okay."

"No," Sikowitz said, his voice emotionless. He too is clearly pissed off. " No one is quiting. Both of you need to work this out!"

"I will kill you if you make us go on another date," i threatened. But Sikowitz just brushes it off like it was nothing. Yeah, maybe it was an empty threat. Whatever.

"No, I will leave you two to fix this...this," he pointed at the two of us. With that, he huffed and left me with Tori.

"i don't know why you hate me so much, Jade," Tori looked at me, anger was reflecting in her brown eyes.

i chuckled. "Do i need a reason, Vega?"

You- You're such a Bitch!" Tori shouted and I actually flinched when she said a bad word. Wow, she's not too innocent after all. " I- I keep trying to be your friend and what do i get in return? Nothing but a hard time. "

At this point, I was fuming with my own rage. Nobody can shout at me like that." Oh, I wish that I could skip ahead ten years so I can see your life as a failure!"

" You know what ? i wish i could skip ahead ten years so i will never see your stupid face ever again! I hate you!"

"huh," i mocked. " I hate you too, honey."

She was all red as she pushed past me , bumping my shoulder intentionally and walked out the door for real. Then i saw Sikowitz by the fire exit, looking at me dis approvingly. Then he mouthed something like; Be careful of what you wish for . before he left to chase after Tori.
