Beyond Orcus

Chapter 4

"Not everyone, only June. Except them, everyone here lives in this apartment." adds Caleb
"Yeah, well, whatever. We have to talk to you about something." says Juniper  

"Are you two gonna get married ?" asks Ava
"Isn't it a bit too soon?" replies Caleb
"Uh. Yeah no. No, I mean no we.. We are not going to get married." answers Juniper looking at Alex, embarrassed

It’s true. They are not indifferent to Alex. Yes, she was attractive, and yes, they liked to be in her company despite of it's been only a few hours since they met her.  But they were safe with her. Feeling like nothing could happen to those two. But it was way too soon to draw conclusions. It could be only admiration as much as a little crush or something else. 

"Whatever, I need your help. I'm from Earth. This morning I just got here, suddenly, on Orcus. I don't know how. I don't know why. But I know I need to go back home." says Alex to the group
"What did you say? Earth??" asks Caleb
"You're not supposed to remember that," says Henry
''What? Why?" asks Alex
''Well, when you arrive on Orcus, you're supposed to continue your life as if nothing happened.''
''And not remember a thing about your past life.'' adds Caleb
''My past life ?''
''Yeah, you know before you-'' 
Juniper interrupt Ava
''Before Orcus, that's what he meant.''
''Okay. But I remember it. Then, what do I do? Am I supposed to pretend that I don't? Because I'm not going to do that. I want to go back to Earth. Go back to my home, go back to Irland and live the rest of my life thereat.'' 
''Ok. We will find a solution. But for now, can I talk to June in private, please?'' asks Henry 

Henry and Caleb take Juniper aside.

''You didn't tell her??''
''No. No, I didn't. But can't you understand? She is so-'' says June
''Attractive, amazing, nice, pretty?'' says Caleb
''What? No! I, no! She is lost and away from her family. She doesn't think at all this could have happened to her.''
''Yeah, well, we are not telling her if you don't want us to. But you will have to tell her because we are not pretending to search for a solution for her to go back to Earth endlessly.'' 

The guys are back to Ava and Alex while Juniper is still in the kitchen, overthinking while looking at their friends.
How will they tell her? How will she react? What if she hates them after they tell her the truth? Why does this bother them? They have known Alex just this morning. 
When Juniper snaps out of her thoughts, they notice that Alex is no longer with the three roommates. She is leaning over the counter where Juniper has their elbows resting. 

''So ''June'' ?'' asks Alex
''Yeah.. You can call me June too if you want to.''
''Oh, okay! So sweetheart, why are you alone when your friends and I are laughing together on the couch?''
''Swe, sweetheart? That doesn't sound exactly like June, yes?''
"That's what suits you best, I think." said Alex

Juniper starts blushing.

''Thanks'' says Juniper
''Alex?'' adds Juniper
''What ?''
''I need to tell you something important. I'm scared of what your reaction could be.''
''Don't worry, sweetheart. I won't be mad or anything like that.''
''Alright. You are.. how can I tell you that? You didn't just spawn on Orcus without apparent reason. You are dead. You died on Earth. Now, you are. Not alive, but you are living on Orcus.''
