Chapter 6 A mountain of hands

"A demons weak point is its neck. However when using a normal blade, even cutting its neck won't kill it. The swords that the demon slayer corps use are made from a special steel. We call them nichirin swords." Mr Urokodaki told me. Thanks to my training with Makomo, I've learned to smell out an "opening thread." That's how I won. When I'm fighting someone and I find that scent, I see the thread. Its tuns from my blade to a spot on my opponent, and it goes taut the moment I see it. Guided by the thread, my blade cuts into the spot.

"I did not intend to send you to final selection.  I had no wish to see another child die. I didn't think you would split that boulder. But you did well. Nezuko you truly are an amazing child." I don't know why but I started to cry. "Go to final selection selection, but return alive. Your brother and I are waiting." After cutting my hair Urokodaki gave me a mask. It's called a warding mask.  Apparently it offers protection from evil. He also gave me a haori just like his,nthas blue with a cloud pattern. I can't take tanjiro with me-he's still asleep. So I'm leaving him to Urokodaki's care.

I'm on my way, Urokodaki! Give my best to Giyu and Makomo! "Nezuko, how is it you know the names of those deceased children.

Wow! But wisteria shouldn't be blooming this time of year. As I walked up the mountain there was more people at final selection to be swordsman just like me. So many of them. "Greetings everyone. Thank you for gathering tonight for final selection. Mount Fujikasane holds demons that demon slayer swordsmen have taken alive and trapped here. "Demons hate wisteria flowers, which bloom her even out of season. They cover the mountain from its foot to halfway up the slope." " However from that point on, the wisteria does not bloom so the demons roam free. Ypu must survive there for seven days." "If you do, then you will have passed final selection. Now go." I was instructed by two girls who I think were twins.

I then remembered that one of the girls said we have to survive seven days. I then realized this was a life or death situation. I must survive this for Tanjiro. I then headed of along with the others. Even though I might die from scary demons this place sure was beautiful with all the wisteria.

As I made my way up the mountain there was no more wisteria flowers. Those girls were right. Then out of nowhere two demons came charging at me. I cut one of there arms off but it regenerated quickly.

"Hey get lost, this is my meal!" "No you scram, I'm gonna eat this kid!" Two of them out of knowhere! Can I even win?" She's my meal!" "Shut up!" "The one who kills her first gets to eat her!" "It's been so long since I've had human flesh!" Total concentration water breathing! I can smell the thread! Fourth form! Striking tide! I did it. I beat two demons! I've must've gotten stronger. All they trying payed off. I started to cry once again when I said that. I guess I'm pretty sensitive. I can do this. When I use the katana Urokodaki gave me even the bones crumble! Rest in peace. I then smelled a horrible smell I almost threw up. " HELPPP! THERES A HUGE DEFORMED, DEMON BACK THERE! IVE BEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT!" Yelled a boy who looked really scared. Then there it was standing right in front of my eyes. A. HUGE. DEMON. He was holding someone he killed and I feared for my life.

He than grabbed that boy who was running. HIS ARM EXTENDED! "GYAHHHH! HELP MEEEE!" Dont be afraid! Help him you must help him! You can do this Nezuko! Your not powerless anymore! Let's go! Water breathing second form: water wheel! I cut his arm off not his head! Dammit, I gotta somehow get to his neck but he has so many arms! "Another of my dear foxes has come!"
