Chapter Five

Ember's POV

I woke up and my back was in so much pain. I tried to move but it hurt to much. "Are you okay?" Anakin asked.

I nodded. "My back just hurts." I said. I suddenly felt sick. I ran to the bathroom and threw up. Anakin came in and rubbed

my back. "I'll tell the Jedi I wont be able to come in today." Anakin said. "You cant do that. I'll be fine. Maybe

Padme can come over." I said. "Alright but I'm not leaving until they call me in." He said. "Okay." I said standing up and

hugging him. "Now get out I have to pee." I said shoving him out of the refresher. I used the bathroom and changed into

my Jedi robes. I walked to the living room and Anakin was sitting on the couch. I sat on his lap and he held me close.

Padme came out from the kitchen. "Aww you two are so cute together." She said smiling. "Oh Padme I didnt know you were

here." I said. "I'm here incase Anakin has to leave. How are you?" She asked. "I'm fine. Just a little tired." I said.

"And her back hurts, she's been having to go to the bathroom a lot lately, and she's always sick in the morning." Anakin

said. Padme had the 'I know what's wrong' look on her face. Anakin's com beeped. "Well I gotta go. Love you." He said.

"Love you too." I said as he laid me on the couch and kissed my forehead. "Feel better." He said before shutting the door.

"I know you know what's wrong." I said to Padme. "I'm not positive but I think you're pregnant." She said. "No,

I cant be." I said. "Wait. Nevermind...." I said. "So you guys didnt use protection." She said. "We didnt. It was about

a week ago. Obi Wan had just found out something was going on and said he wouldnt tell the counil. I guess we were just

happy we could be together." I said. "Well we should head out to the store then." She said. I nodded. "But you should

change first. A female Jedi buying pregnancy tests..... Word could get out." She said. "You're right." I said. "I always

am." She said. I went to the bedroom and Padme followed. "Wow Anakin is neater than I thought." She said. "Not really

I always clean up his stuff in the morning. Sometimes he gets into bed with his boots on." I said. Padme laughed. I

grabbed my black leggings, white T-shirt, and black combat boots. I left my hair down and put on a light amount of

makeup. "Now you look like a normal person." Padme said. "Thanks." I said sarcastically.

I walked through the doors of the store. I looked at all the shelves. "Have you ever been in a store?" Padme

asked. "No." I said. She walked down an aisle full of women stuff like tampons, pads, pregnancy tests. She picked up

a box and walked towards a counter. I took out my purse. "I'm paying." Padme said. "No I got it." I said. She grabbed

my wrist. "I insist." She said as she handed the lady credits. "Have a nice day." The lady said handing us a bag. "You

too." Padme said and I just nodded.
