(Sorry if this is weird I haven't read/wrote a saiouma or any romantic fix in months-)
Before you read know the place they live in is called dangantasy (dan-gan-see) like fantasy +Danganronpa haha(dk if that how other fantasy aus are like but that's how this one is-

Kokichi and shuichi made their way through the forest, as birds chirped and flowers bloomed throughout the forest. Our adventurers we're on a Quest. Or more like kokichi was on a Quest.
Kokichi had a goal: get a scale from every monster in dangantasy. Shuichi, just started tagging around.

Kokichi was rambling about dice, a group of 'monster Slayers' around his age he was in before he set of on his Quest. But by monster slayers- I mean a group of 10 year olds poking sloths with sticks and calling it battling.

"One time, me and dice- we all went and fought a baby dragon! And we won! Shuichi- how cool is that??" kokichi said excitedly
"Don't you mean 'dice and I' not 'dice and me'?" shuichi commented.
"Shuichi your missing the point! We were still able to defeat a dragon! I bet it's gonna be super easy to defeat this one! " Kokichi spat back

Kokichi and Shuichi were on their way to a Village. within the village, there was a report a dragon problem. which they were going to take care of an add a scale to Kokichi and his collection.

"Don't jinx it kokichi, we don't know how dangerous dragons can be." Shuichi replied, the cheerful atmosphere dulling just enough to notice.

Shuichis home village was burnt to a crisp by a dragon. Shuichis family was killed in the fire, and Shuichi has burns and scars from the fire. His Quest, is to get revenge on the dragon that killed his family. Kokichi an Shuichi met and made a deal to help each other fulfill each other's quests, and then go their seperate ways.

"Oh sorry- touchy subject.." kokichi commented
"Its alright." Shuichi replied

⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞⏤͟͟͞͞

Kokichi and Shuichi stood outside of the cave, a large cave in fact. Vines gripped from the entrance, and only shadows behind.
"You ready?" kokichi asked
"A much a I'll allow myself to be.". Shuichi replied
They then entered
A fire glowing on a torch, as they entered the cave. Staying by each other's side
As they walked through, they saw a large pile of gold, emeralds, jewels, and shiny things in general
"Ooh! Shiny!" kokichi said as he ran near the pile
"Wait! Shuichi said, running after kokichi.
A dragon then flew in, and stared at the two boys.

They were on their way from the battle, walking down a pathway throughout the forest that surrounds them. Kokichi was shaking around the scale they had gotten from the dragon.
"They way we went- shing! Then you went woosh- then the dragon went wrahh!!" Kokichi rambled, moving his hands around dramatically while talking
Shuichi laughed, "You sure you won't drop that dragon scale on accident?" He asked

"Of course not! I, Kokichi Oma, the supreme leader, and best dragon hunter, would never!" Kokichi replied,putting a hand to his heart. "You can bet it!" He smiled

Shuichi replied with a similar smile,  "What do you think the rest of your journey will be like?" He asked

"Shumai, it will be smooth!6 years, and we're done!" Kokichi replied

"SHUMAI??" Shuichi questioned, getting flustered almost immediately

"AWW, is saihara Chan flustered?~" Kokichi teased

Shuichis face blushed red like a tomato. "A-"shuichi said silently

They continued their walk.

It was light at night, and kokichi looked at the stars as they walked. Kokichi then grabbed shuichis hand.
"Look at the stars, in the big black ink!" kokichi laughed, pointing at the sky. "Tell me what you feel, and tell me what you think!" he smiled
Shuichi grabbed onto his chest with one hand, and covered hi mouth with the other

"Is it cold outside..?" shuichi asked,

"Is it cold?" kokichi questioned.

Shuichi coughed blood up into his hand, as a coughing fit started. Blood spoiled from his hand, as it was visible that shuichi was in pain.  Kokichi immediately ran up to shuichi.

"Shuichi?!" he yelled, tears building up in his eyes.
Shuichi was completely fine a bit ago. Right? No, it was easy to tell that shuichi wasn't fine.  His smile seemed forced, his laughs could be replaced by coughs. He mumbled underneath his breath more than he usually did. Hell, shuichi was super pale.
Kokichi however, missed all of that.
He looked down, and saw a pool of blood. Shuichis blood.

Kokichi had to get shuichi back to the campsite they made, or else shuichi would die.
Kokichi picked up shuichi and held him by his back, and careid him to the campsite.

After bringing shuichi to the campsite, kokichi immediately grabbed the first aid kit. Then ran back to shuichi an looked at his injury.
He had a cut that was from his chest to hear his elbow..
Kokichi immediately cleaned and bandages the wound before propping up shuichi.
He has a pulse right?
RIGHT?
Kokichi checked, and shuichi has a pulse still.

Thank all- kokichi doesn't know what he would do if shuichi was dead.  Hell, if shuichi was dead and it would be his fault. shuichi probably got injured while they were defeating the dragon. If kokichi wasn't so reckless.
Kokichi couldn't worry about that right now, however. He would wait till shuichi woke up.

Shuichi opened his eyes, to see sunlight from what seemed to be the side of a tent. He then got up. What happened again? He thought. Then the memories all flooded back to him. He started coughing up blood. He collapsed. Wait, what is kokichi doing right now? Shuichi left him alone. Shit.

Shuichi stood up and tried to open the tent. But it hurt to move. His wound still hurt like hell.

"Kokichi?" shuichi asked, his voice cracking after speaking

A shadow then ran from outside the tent

"Shuichi?!"  Kokichi yelled, before entering the tent

"Hey.." Shuichi replied

Kokichi looked like shit, due to lack of a better term. He had eye bags, he looked like he hadn't slept in days.
In fact, kokichi started to cry

"Kokichi? Whats wrong?! Did I say something wrong-" shuichi asked, before kokichi hugged him as if he could leave at any moment.

"Don't you ever.. Sniff.. EVER. do that again.. " kokichi cried into shuichis shoulder
"You were asleep for almost 3 days! You know how worried I was?! I thought.. Hic... I thought you weren't going to wake up!"

"I'm so sorry.." shuichi replied.
"I won't leave you again, I swear."
