"Woah we have a balcony" the boys yell as we enter the room. I smile at their happiness.
"OK so there are 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, mine is the master bedroom, and you guys choose whatever one you want, all of the rooms have a view of the beach." I tell them as I walk to my new room.
"Dibs" the boys yell, I laugh and they start to unpack. I open our blinds to the balcony and turn the TV on. I connect my phone to the TV and start to play music. I open the sliding door to the balcony and take in the view. They boys soon join me on the balcony and we watch the water. I look at the time and see its nearly 6:00.
"How about we go down to the beach tomorrow, we can buy some new surfboards and have a swim?" I ask the boys and they eagerly say yes. I laugh at their actions and tell them to get back inside. Thankfully my job back in Perth earnt me a good savings. My family wasn't wealthy at all but I made enough to survive off and I can now greatfully afford things for my self and my younger brothers. But I should probably start looking for a new job soon. I order us some pizza just for tonight and send the boys to bed. I locked the balcony door and shut the blinds. After turning off the TV I head into my room and get comfy and cosy ready to drift off to sleep.

The next morning I was awake fairly early, around 5:30. I walk Into the kitchen and start making a list of things I will need to shop for. I pull out my phone and open up notes to start the list. After about 30 minutes i go and wake up the boys.
"Jimmy, mate time to wake up we have a busy day today." I tell him shaking him awake. He slowly opens his eyes and mutters and ok. I go and to the same thing to Blake, but he's already sitting in bed awake.
"Come on, out of bed we have lots to do." I say to him. The boys change in boardies and a t-shirt, I change into a maroon and white bikini with a yellow short jumpsuit over top.
"Righto boys, so today we gotta go food shopping and buy some boards." I say slipping on a pair of thongs.
"Swimming?" Blake asks and I tell him of course.

We leave the hotel and head to a near by cafe for some breakfast. Once that is done we hear to the nearest Woolworths to go food shopping.
"So we need, bread, fruit and vege, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, tea bags, meat, eggs and that's it I think." I grab a trolley and we star off with the fruit and vege. After about an hour of waking around the shop we finally leave and make out easy back to the hotel to put away our food. We finish that and the boys drag me along to ripcurl.
"OK boys look around and choose a board each. We have our wetsuits and my backpack already.
"This one" Blake points out. Followed by Jimmy and then i go pick one out. "Right so that comes to $1519" I grab out my card. The sales assistant looks at me as though I have 3 heads. I laugh slightly and pay for the boards. We slowly make our way down to the beach.
"I wanna swim and then surf later." Jimmy says.
"OK let's go then, we need to go down to the red and yellow flags." I grab Jimmy and Blake's hands and we find a place to put our stuff before going into the water. I watch as the boys swim not taking my eyes off them. I watch a young girl get swept out in a rip. I call Jimmy and Blake back into spite and tell them to wait with our stuff. I look around to see if any lifeguards are around watching. I see no one and head into the water to reach the young girl. I reach her, she was pale and not breathing. I check for a pulse, it was really weak. "Shit" I whisper. I pull her into shore and by the time I get there she had no pulse, I start cpr. The girl looks about 10 or 11.
"Blake take jimmy with you up to the tower and get a lifeguard, tell them to bring a dfib." I shout as I do the first round of cpr. I begin the second round and hear a motor come up beside me. A ring of people has began to form.
"You are doing fantastic, I'll take over after this set." A man says placing a hand on the small of my back. Once that round is finished I collapse beside them.
"Hi darl, my names deano, this is whippet, what's happened?" A man asks me. I look around frantically in search for my two little brothers.
"Um well I was down here with my brothers swimming and I saw the girl going under and um, yeah I knew I had to save her, but when I got back to shore there was no pulse." I breath out.
"Where are my brothers?" I say looking around once more.
"We are gonna need an ambo mate" a man said over the radio to I'm guessing the tower.
"Up at the tower lovey" deano says. I watch the boys in blue place the pads of the defib onto the young girl. "Let's get you up to the tower yeah?" I not slowly not taking me eyes off the girl. I sigh and I'm lifted up by whippet.

"Jimmy, Blake there you are" I exclaim pulling them both into a hug.
"What was your name again darl?" Deano asks
"Eva" I say to him, he smiles and radios the boys on the beach.
"How is she"
"Yeah we got her, she's awake" Deano turns to look at me and nods as if to say you did it.
"Are you ok Eva?" Blake asks me. I smile at him slightly and nod.
"Yeah buddy I'm ok, just taking a breather" I laugh messing up his hair. Whippet walks over to us.
"Do you boys want a zooper dooper?" To which the say yes please.

"So yeah that's what happened" I said to the paramedics. They thank me and say I can go.
"Ight, see you guys later" I say grabbing my surfboard and bag and we head home.
"Wait, Eva, thank you so so much." Whippet says running after us on the promenade. I tell him that it was all good. We head home and I start to make dinner.
