Link entered the final room of the Skyview Temple. Much to his surprise, no foe awaited him there. He was alone in the circular room, on the opposite side of the empty room a door with a glowing crest of the goddess. He took one step towards the door before there was a sudden flash of light. The hero covered his eyes with his right arm, but still he was blinded by the brightness. As the light faded, the chosen one slowly lowered his arm, only to be greeted with the sight of a tall, slim figure with a black sword in his in front of the door. The man lifted the arm with his sword and made the attempt to hit the door with it, but instead of that, the sword vanished in a flurry of little diamond patterns. Link tries to analyze the male, it seems like he is going to be the hero's new foe. And he was aware of magic, which bothered Link a bit. His foe was seemingly stronger than he himself. The stranger lowered his arm. "Look who it is." His foe's chilling, calm voice sent a shiver down the child's spine. Then he turned around. His skin has a grayish colour, and he had pointed ears like the hero himself. That he thought. But as the male turned around and the white hair that covered the left half of his face flew up for a moment, he was able to see his second ear, and it was round, but it didn't look natural. More like the rest of his ear was bitten off or something. The hero that concentrated and looked over the rest of his new foe to analyze him. The stranger had dark brown eyes adorned with violet eyeliner under them, white lips and a sky blue diamond earring hung from his right ear. His body was muscular, clearly shown among the white spandex jumpsuit with diamond shaped cutouts he wore. He also wore a red cloak with a chain holding the two parts of it together near his neck and a golden belt with a red diamond on it. It was obvious that the man was a demon. An arrogant smile built itself on the demon's lips as he spoke on. "I thought that tornado I stirred up would have tossed and torn you apart, yet here you are. Not in pieces." If he hadn't seen him fighting earlier, the demon would probably wonder why the goddess had chosen that short boy, a child, as her chosen hero. But he watched the Skyloftian all the time since he landed on the surface. "Not that your life or death has any consequence." The demon knew himself that this statement of his wasn't true. The boy wouldn't be a challenge for him, if there weren't his feelings for the boy. He didn't know him, but learned quite a lot about the hero while watching him. He never talked, so the demon wondered if the chosen one was a mute. The child was friendly all over, but also had good fighting skills for a human being of his age. The demon respects him. And he also knew himself it wasn't just respect, but he felt attracted to the boy. So he knew he couldn't kill him and luckily he wouldn't even have to. Not now. "It's just the girl that matters now, and I can sense her here... just beyond that door." The hero's figure stiffened. He wondered what that demon wanted to do with Zelda, and he wondered if he even wanted to know this. "Yes, we plucked her majesty from her perch in the clouds, and now she's ours." The Skyloftian got more and more angry. He wasn't letting that madman getting even near his childhood friend. He didn't even know who his foe was. As if the demon knew what he thought, he turned around so Link was facing his back again and spoke on. "Oh, but listen to me. I'm being positively uncivil. Allow me to introduce myself. I am the demon lord who presides over this land you look down upon, this world you call the surface. You may call me Ghirahim." Link was rather surprised by the demons name, because Ghirahim was a name that was common at the time of the old Hylian civilization. He remembered the Hyrule Historia lesson at the Knight Academy where he was told that. "Long time ago thousands of years before we were born, there was an old Hylian civilization. Hylians and demons lived there together in peace, in a land on the surface called Hyrule..." His thoughts were interrupted by his foe speaking again. "In truth, I very much prefer to be indulged with my full title: Lord Ghirahim. But I'm not fussy." Though the hero was still irritated because the demon couldn't be that old, he looked like he was maybe at the age of 20 years; he felt anger rising in his chest again. After kidnapping Zelda, that demon still wants him to indulge him with his title? The hero drew his sword. Ghirahim made a small sound of surprise. "Did you really just draw your sword? Foolish boy." Ghirahim didn't likes how things turned out. Of course he knew he would have to fight the child, but for now he just wanted to hold him out long enough so he couldn't get to the spirit maiden yet. But it seemed like he angered him. And just that fact angered him too. He turned around to face Link again. And he talked on. "By all rights the girl should have fallen into our hands already." Ghirahim gestured with his arms as he felt his anger and bloodlust rise. He looked down and clawed his fingers, now really looking demonic. "She was nearly ours when that servant of the goddess snatched her away." The light starts fading and appearing again as he continued. "Do you have any idea how that made me feel inside? Furious! Outraged! Sick with anger!" The demon lord shuddered in outrage and disappeared in a flurry of coloured diamond patterns. Link looked around for his foe with panic. He somehow knew that he could appear out of nowhere and kill him if he wanted. That he could hear his silent laughter and his voice, but still couldn't see Ghirahim didn't make things better. "This turn of events has left me with a strong appetite for bloodshed." Suddenly Link could feel two arms wrap around his waist from behind. He winced. He wasn't that afraid in his life before. In that position, the demon could easily kill him. What the hero didn't know was that as soon as Ghirahim inhaled the scent of his fear, he wasn't angry any longer, he felt sorry for scaring the Sky Child like that and just wanted to promise him that everything was going to be fine and he didn't have to be afraid. But instead of that he leaned over the hero's shoulder and continued. "Still...it seems hardly fair, being of my position, to take all of my anger out on you." The boy stared at him with big, sky blue eyes filled with fear. Ghirahim could hardly stand it. "Which is why I promise upfront not to murder you..." As if he could do that. "No, I'll just beat you within inch of your life!" The demon's tongue sneaked out and he licked over Link's ear. The hero, now scared as hell, finally managed to free himself out of the demon lord's grasp. He jumped away from him and stared at him, panting. The demon just looked down and laughed, letting his cloak vanish to fight.
