Relationships are not complicated we humans make them complicated.
******As soon as the key was in the lock, her flat was unlocked. After such a hectic day, all she wanted was a lengthy, warm shower. She is currently working on new designs that will be unveiled in a fashion show in two months. She threw the bag and watch on the bed and went to her room. Before stepping foot inside the en suite, she undressed. She turned the dials to her preferred temperature and enjoyed the splash of water on her body.
She went outside and turned on her answering machine so she could hear any messages she had missed earlier in the day. One was from the housekeeper informing her that she would be away for two days visiting her mother in Rome, and another was from the management department's secretary reminding her of the impending maintenance fees for the lavish condominium she owned in the affluent 8th Arrondissement of Paris on Avenue Montaigne, the city's most fashionable avenue.
Avenue Montaigne has a reputation for being affluent and drawing the wealthy. High-end retailers like Chanel, Dior, and Fendi may be found on Avenue Montaigne, one of the world's most fashionable streets. Apartment ownership in this neighbourhood is a sign of stature and social standing. She only has an apartment on this street thanks to her hard work and pure luck.
When she first heard his voice on the answering machine, she was blow-drying her hair in front of the vanity. The instant her hand stopped, time stood still.
"Shehnaaz Oh, hi there! Ah... I hope you received my package. I'm not sure how to say this, but I'm getting married. Yeah? Sidharth Sarin, I'm getting married. On September 29th of this month Oh My God! I still can't believe it! Umm... Her name is Aditi... Aditi Shekhawat. Isn't it fantastic that we only recently met and are already getting married? So I want you to come to my wedding. No! I need you to come. You remember that day when you said that you'll come to my wedding. So here it is! Don't break my heart and please come I miss you Nizzy! Bye, take care!"
When her palm hit the rear of the blow dryer, which was scorching from the heat, she awoke from her daydream, She hissed and began shaking her hand to ease the agony. Dang! She forgot to turn off the blow dryer, so after quickly turning it off she ran to the living room, she noticed a large cardboard box with the words "Fed Ex" written in purple and orange on the coffee table. She grabbed a knife off the kitchen counter and began ripping the duct tapes that were attached to the parcel.
Finally, she caught sight of an attractive, glossy Invitation basket that was too bright for her eyes. It was netted in a golden colour, and there was a large bow made of the same materials on the handle. After removing the garish fabric, she was able to see the basket that contained wine, dark chocolate, almonds, cashews, and other dry fruits, along with an invitation card that was coloured lapis in the centre.
Sidharth Sarin Weds Aditi Shekhawat
Written in calligraphy most likely using the Arizonia typeface. She might assert that whoever made this combination has no understanding of aesthetics. The typography is a complete catastrophe, as are the colours of the basket, the cover, and the card. She wondered who approved the package; she was certain that it was not him. His taste was refined and classy, not garish. She last met him when he arrived on a work trip two years ago, and he was still very much same. Nevertheless, it might be his future bride. The word "bride" strangely made her mouth taste sour. She wanted him to eventually get married and move on, but now that he is, she is unsure of how she feels about it.
Should She be thrilled that he has finally met the one he could spend the rest of his life with, or should she be disappointed because she is still so lonely? What ought she to do right now? Should she go to the wedding or should she remain home and mope around with a bowl of mac and cheese and a glass of red wine, lamenting her misfortune? "No! You said to him that you'll attend his wedding even though in jest, but he's counting on you for it, so you won't let him down." She pep talked herself.
