*******"Dad?!" After entering the farmhouse, he called. Randhir Sarin was standing in the corner of the grand living room, playing pool. He was hunched over the pool table, holding a cue stick and aiming it at the red ball. His mind was focused and his brow was creased with stress, but when he looked up at his son, his face relaxed into a huge smile.
"Hey! Come here Jaan," He motioned for Sidharth to approach him.
"What exactly are you doing here? Don't you have anything else to do since your son is getting married?" Sidharth tried to make a joke
"Well, I have money and people who work for me." Randhir winked, and Sidharth rolled his eyes and motioned to Shehnaaz "Anyways meet her, Pehchaniye isey"
Randhir surveyed Shehnaaz from top to bottom and frowned "I don't know. Who's She?" Shehnaaz's smile faltered for a second before Randhir gave out a laugh "Ofcourse I remember Shehnaaz do you think I am getting old or what?"
"You scared me for a moment" Shehnaaz confessed before hugging him and pecking his cheeks, Randhir hugged her back "Tu bhulne wali cheez hai kya?" He smirked
"Enough she's my friend" Sidharth said pulling her back by his side, Shehnaaz let out a giggle.
"Why are you playing alone?" Shehnaaz questioned
"Nobody's here who can beat me and your friend is of no use" Randhir taunted Sidharth
"Hey I beat you last month!" Sidharth exclaimed
"After I beat you a million times in all these years" He pointed out
"Well, I am catching up" Sidharth mumbled making the other two giggled
"He's such a sissy come we'll play finally I'll have some good pool time" Randhir said motioned Shehnaaz towards the table
"Anyways smart people play chess" Sidharth made face at their back
"Nobody is playing anything right now! Here have some juice" A lady came in her early forties with a tray of juice
"Sophia!" Shehnaaz yelled excitedly and ran to hug the lady
"How are you Sana?" Sophia ask caressing her cheek softly
"I am absolutely fine and so happy to see you." Shehnaaz hugged her once again
"Where will I go I am here only but you forgot all of us huh?" Sophia complained
"Never" Shehnaaz said solemnly
"Come have some juice" Sophia gave her glass and passed the other glasses to Sidharth and Randhir
"Thanks Sophia" Sidharth said pulling her at his side
"Thank you" Randhir mumbled taking glass from her.
"As I said nobody is playing anything especially you Mr. Sarin all the guests are here you need to make sure everybody is settled comfortably. We cannot leave everything to the wedding planners also Sidharth's Nani and Mama wanted to talk to you please talk to them" Sophia informed Randhir.
"Arey yaar ab kya baat karni hai unko! Fix ho toh gaya tha sab chalo I go talk to them you kids enjoy" Randhir said, but was cut off by Shehnaaz "But our match..." She pouted "Aww some other day sweetheart, today I am groom's father" He stroked her cheek and turned towards Sidharth "Jaan, take care of her yeah?" He ordered to which Sidharth nodded his head. Randhir left and so as Sophia to see the decorations.
Sophia was 21 when she started working for Sarins as Sidharth's Nanny, Sidharth was 7 years old at that time. She worked for them for blissful two years. Little Sidharth who rarely used to gell with any woman used to stick to her side all the time in those two years but after that her father fixed her marriage and she had to leave breaking his as well as her heart.
