[Otogakure-> Northeast underground prison ward]

A slightly tall lean-built teenage male with a peach skin tone with, silky pale blue hair that goes down to his neck, and red eyes. He was wearing a white robe with red stripes going down from the left shoulder and towards his side and the front of the robe. There was also a golden belt across the waist of his robe. Underneath it was a black shirt. To finish off the outfit, he has on black knee-length shorts and black ankle ninja sandals.

He was currently standing in a candle-lit room against the wall with his arms folded as Kabuto sat on an indoor bench with a scroll in his hand.

"This is a horrible idea. You know she will not be happy about this," The teen said.

"Nonsense, " Kabuto proclaimed, pushing up his glasses."You're her closest friend. Who knows who she truly is even when transformed. Hearing the news from you will be easier than from me, the right-hand man who couldn't protect her father. Don't you agree, Keiji?"

Keiji sighed as he narrowed his eyes at Kabuto, who gave his usual smile as he pushed up his glasses, making a white shine in them.

"Fine, I tell her, but you have to show where she stays since she only came to the Hidden Sound for training at times," He replied."Also, if she tries to destroy you for making me tell her instead of you, that's on you. I'm not going to protect you," He commented.

"Yes, of course, leave another person in charge of this place so they don't attempt to break out thinking that they can escape just because Lord Orochimaru is taken down," Kabuto said."The Sound is going to get a new order around here soon," He smirked to himself, thinking about how things were going to improve once Tsuyumi was brought back home where she belonged.

Keiji nodded at Kabuto as he started walking out of the room with a bad feeling in his chest.

'She will not handle the fact that her father is dead. She might not have been around often, as most kids are around their parents if they have any. However, she loved more than life herself. Now I have to tell her he is dead when Kabuto, her brother figure, should be doing it himself.'

Kabuto just smirked to himself, happy that he found someone else to do the task he was dreading too.

[Yokuchi in the Land of Grass]

Mitsuko was halfway into a box of Macaron cookies as she stared at the sky as the sun started to shine through the clouds while glancing at a strange letter she got three nights ago left near her bed.

She was pulled from her thoughts as a knock was heard on her personal library door.

"Come in," She replied, putting away the note and waiting for the company she was about to receive.

Mitsuko sighed mentally. She was slightly getting used to her daughter's figure, exhausted, and any person would tell you it comes with the stress of the shinobi world. Still reddish in, the young teenager's eyes were getting redder and darker, and her entire posture was sluggish. Tsuchinoko's past two days include training and late-night walks, and then the worry and stress of her father not coming to see her for two days now.

Mitsuko exhaled quietly through her mouth."Go to your bedroom. Take the rest of the day to rest..." She then gave the teen another once over."As well as tomorrow as well" She sighed at Tsuyumi's attempt to straighten her stance.

Tsuyumi was the type of person to object to her restrictions from training and was about to open her mouth to protest her guardian's command but then paused to think about it. She was starting to feel sluggish and exhausted, even after a good nine hours of sleep she had received. As soon as her alarm clock went off, she dragged herself out of bed for another day of training at four in the morning since her father hadn't shown up.

The early morning training was a massive mayhem of exercise. After five hours of running through the forest of her home, and because of the stress and worry about her father, she spent almost ten hours training nonstop. She spent the last twenty minutes strengthening her stamina, racing a wild wolf, and she still isn't relieved of her stress.

Mitsuko raised an eyebrow; Tsuyumi hadn't said a single word for a couple of minutes now and seemed lost entirely in her own thoughts, and she had to guess she was positive she was thinking about more training.

'This girl is being foolish if she is thinking about training more in her condition.' Mitsuko thought with a mental sigh, looking at Tsuyumi.

"Yes, Mitsuko-san," Tsuyumi said in a defeated and slightly relaxed tone as she nodded and left the room.

After Tsuyumi had left the room, Mitsuko grabbed herself another cookie and put the note aside as she continued gazing out the window, deep in thought.

'Lord Orochimaru, how could things have ended up as they did?' Mitsuko thought, glancing at the note sitting beside the cookies.

Taking another bite of her cookie, she opened the note and began reading it. Orochimaru doesn't think his plan will end up the way he had in mind with his new vessel. So if anything happens, he wants her to continue to be Tsuyumi's guardian as the mother she has never had since her death.

'Lord Orochimaru. Your daughter will need someone else to get her through this when she finds out you are gone. I don't believe that I'm the one who can help her through this.'

Mitsuko's mind then wandered back to Tsuyumi.

'What to do about her? She hasn't been taking time to relax lately.'

"So you already know Lord Orochimaru's fate," Kabuto said, appearing from a cloud of smoke behind Mitsuko.

Mitsuko turned around, unbothered by the sudden voice, as she turned around from the armchair and placed the note back down.

"Kabuto," She greeted tiredly as she pushed the cookie basket to the side.

She took a couple of minutes to look at the person currently in the room with him.

'It has been a while since Kabuto has been here with Lord Orochimaru. About a few months, maybe.'

Unexpectedly or not, Kabuto's presence brought peace from her thoughts of the note she received that no sweets could help relieve.

"You must be stressed for you to eat sweets this early in the day," Kabuto said, leaning his arms against the chair behind Mitsuko."Is there a reason for that, specifically other than that note?" He asked.

"Tsuyumi behavior recently," She replied, running a hand against her face with a sigh."What brings you here with him?" She questioned, looking at the boy around Tsuyumi's age behind him.

Kabuto's usual smirk appeared on his face as he pushed up his glasses."Well, you see, this is Keiji, one of Lord Orochimaru's wardens and Tsuyumi's only friend from Otogakure. I brought him to help break the news to her about her father. He left something essential for her," He said, rummaging in his pouch and pulling out a sealed scroll."I have other matters to take care of anyway, so he will be dealing with lady Tsuyumi," He said, heading the scroll to Keiji.

"Well, if she took my advice, she should be resting inside her room unless she went back outside to do more training," Mitsuko replies, picking up another cookie.

Kabuto hummed to himself as he glanced over at Keiji."Hm, so her bedroom then?" He questioned.

"Yeah, and if not, try outside near the stream in the back."

Kabuto nodded at the quick reply from Mitsuko as she quickly went back to eating her cookies."I will leave her to you, Keiji. I have things to finish taking care of. Make sure to bring her back to the Sound to rebuild the hideout," Kabuto stated as he left in a cloud of smoke.

'Man, that guy is such a pain ordering others around just cause he was Lord Orochimaru, right-hand man. He thinks he is in charge.' Keiji thought as he left the room to find Tsuyumi.
