• you remembered her birthday weeks before • however,, u didn't really know what to give her for that occasion :( • of course apple pie was an essential, but you wanted to give her something more for her • but before you knew it, it was the day of her birthday and you were panicking since you haven't thought of any other gift yet • you decided to make the apple pie first and then think of the other gift later • like a keychain of some sort, accessories, any decor, but like what?? apple keychains?? accessories made with apple pie??? you had no idea. • honami's band, leo/need, decided to take honami out somewhere thankfully, so you had time to prepare the apple pie. • and um • let's say it didn't go the best. • let's pretend you don't know how to cook or make food, or at least haven't cooked or made food in a while • and that's a bad thing
• so what happened to the pie?? • you tried to get a recipe for the pie but you realized • you didn't get the damn ingredients • so you had to quickly go out and speedrun buying the items from the nearest store that had the things required • and thankfully you made it • but now you're late • so you had to hurry and make the pie
• by some miracle,, you did finish the apple pie • but it was literally so messy • it didn't look appetizing to you • though you couldn't fix it now because you haven't even thought of the other gift • so you had to sit down • and think of a gift • in less than an hour... • but what's this?? • you got a notification from honami saying she's going to come back early since she wants to see you. • normally you'd melt • but in this case, it made you panic even more • you were literally crying • and when she said she was coming back early, she came back SO early • like in 3 mins she was at the door.. • it's like this was set up for your misery • you decided to quickly turn off the lights and then surprise her since thatks the least you can do for a birthday that was supposed to be a surprise • quickly though because she had spare keys • so you did and you had to hide behind the couch or something
• you were literally gonna burst into tears since you didn't even have to the courage to say 'surprise!' after the horrible birthday food you made her, whether the quote surprise be awkward or energetic • once she opened the door you were literally panicking on what to do • she then turned on the lights and you literally had to get up from the couch looking ridiculous • you fr just said 'hi.' so emotionlessly • and help honami didn't care she just ran up to you and hugged you • "ahh y/n! hi! i missed you a lot!" • she let go of you once she saw the apple pie you made • you could literally see stars in her eyes as she questioned you • "what this? did you make that for me?" she pointed to the small pie on the counter 💀 • she had the biggest smile on her face oblivious to your embarrassment • like shes adorable ahsksosjs • you hesitantly said yeah, afraid she'll react disgusted since you didn't really think of how excited she was • then she happily told you she was gonna try it, it was you who made it after all so it would be illegal to not try anything you make • you immediately tried to tell her it was like a scrap and tasted bad but she was running to the chair to give it a taste • but wow • did it really taste or look that bad? because once she ate it she was literally smiling as if it tasted good so idk what u were on about • she was so delighted she started talking while eating • "mm! this tashs good!" • you were surprised • it didn't look like she was pretending it tasted outstanding, looked like she genuinely loved it • but you still asked "are you sure? i don't think it tastes that great.." • pessimistic much • though she nodded, took another bite and still ate while talking "no, really! i lovsh it,!!" • you were happy she liked it but you still had to admit to honami that you didn't get her anything • "hey, honami.. can i tell you something?" • she finished her bite of the pie and said of course • so you slammed your head on the counter and depressingly told her that you didn't get anything for her • honami pat your back and told you to look at her • "hey, look at me love, you being in my life is already my birthday gift. i'm really happy you even took the time to make or get me something, even." she nervously said • nervously • you stared at her and asked if it was really okay as she nodded and kept telling you persistently that you spending time with her has already made her day, stuff like that. • you two hugged as she was like saying stuff like "it's okay, really."
