I woke up feeling well rested. It was the best sleep I've had since I arrived in this world and I was hesitant to open my eyes. Though hunger had won out, feeling my stomach cramp. When have I last eaten? Has it already been 2 days? It wasn't unusual for me to go a day without eating so I wasn't too concerned.

My eyes opened, only to startle slightly. Aemond was already awake and had been watching  me. It would be creepy, but his stare was one of wonder. "How long have you been watching me?"

"Not for long. I keep thinking you will be gone if I close my eyes," Aemond confessed. His gaze dropped and I found myself flattered in a way. Without thinking, I leaned forward to kiss his cheek. I blushed at his intake of breath. Why was I falling for him so fast? Why do I feel connected to him?

"I'm afraid you're stuck with me," I teased. He smiled and instinctively moved the right side of his face, so I couldn't clearly see the eye patch he wore. "You don't have to hide from me Aemond. I'm not afraid of you."

I meant it to be comforting, but he had tensed and sat up. Did I say something wrong? "I just meant that I've...seen how you look and I'm still attracted to you. What does it say about me that I think you're the most handsome man I've ever seen?"

Maybe I had revealed too much. I've never learned to curb my tongue and I probably should have. I played with the ends of my hair hoping he would speak and break the silence. Just before I could apologize he responded.

"I'd say you're mad, but I appreciate it all the same. I've been told how unappealing I would be to women and I believed them. I don't want you to run away out of fear."

I couldn't help but laugh. It was honestly not a good time to laugh but out of everything I've been through, his sapphire eye won't scare me. When he glared at me and made a move to stand, I hurried to stop him. When I was in front of him, I grabbed both is hands in mine. "I wasn't laughing at you, Aemond. I was just amused at the thought that I would run from you. I should be afraid of you, but I'm not. This you, the one who will bend the knee, is different. You aren't blinded by hatred anymore and I promise that something as simple as your eye, won't make me fear you."

I kept eye contact with him to try and express my sincerity. It's better to have us communicate this now, so It won't be brought against us later. He took his hands out of mine and I felt my heart drop. Maybe he didn't believe me and thought I was just placating him. He silenced everything I had to say when his hand moved to remove the patch. I held my breath and his blue sapphire eye was exposed. My hand reached up and slowly caressed the side of his face. It says a lot about myself about how attracted I am to Aemond. The sapphire eye and the scar just added to his appeal. Someone...dangerous. I couldn't help but step closer to him and bring my other hand to the back of his neck. I don't know where this desire was coming from but I'll be damned if I didn't give in. I smashed my lips to his and felt his arms go around my waist. Before I could even take it further, the door opened.

I let out a groan of frustration before turning to the maid that walked in. The poor girl looked stunned and looked at me as if I had acted in sin. I once again forgot what period of time I am in. The maid looked at the floor and I was amused by how she avoided looking at us. 'I'm sorry to barge in my Lady but the Queen had told me to bring this to you."

I was reluctant to step back from Aemond, but was surprised when one of his arms stayed around my waist. My eyes went to the maids arm and groaned at what I saw. It was a dress. One that was extremely beautiful, but would no doubt be uncomfortable. The gown was black, but had red dragons stitched along the bottom. The top of the dress had a square cut, but both shoulders were covered. The sleeves looked small and I knew that this dress would hug my figure.
