🍁 When and how did you know about wattpad?
: I found out about Wattpad a very long time ago, when my BlackBerry phone was too outdated to even have a proper app ha ha. I started reading on it, but didn't start writing properly till 2020 pandemic.

🍁 What inspired you to start writing?
: Well, I wanted to write a desi story that describes my culture to people, and so I started writing about Jasmina and Fawad.

🍁 How do you do research for your books?
: Most of my books are based on experiences. For example, in For Our Love, his grandmother's house is described exactly the way my grandmother's house is. And in Written In The Stars, when the female lead is awaiting her British spouse visa, that's how my sister-in-law had to wait as well. I take every little thing from reality and make a story around it.

🍁 When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
: Repetition is very likely when writing a story, especially with dialogues. As much as I try to keep things fresh, it is impossible to do so sometimes. If I find myself repeating something, I do it in a way that is like a throwback to something that has happened before.

🍁 What is your favourite part, and your least favourite part, of the writing process ?
: My favourite part is introducing character back stories. It's amazing to write about different lives of different people.
My least favourite part is when I have basically written about the basic plotline, and I eventually get a writer's block which makes it hard to continue a story. It happens, but I tried to force myself to keep on writing.

🍁 Which of your character is most similar to you?
: I have to admit I relate the most to Jasmina. She's spoilt, but caring. Her carefree attitude, her having lived a little pampered lifestyle. I use some of my own characteristics on all my main characters though, as it makes writing about them more relatable.

🍁 Share something your readers wouldn’t know about you.
: I had my first short story published in an anthology when I was fifteen. It was a horror story about zombies and I still remember receiving the letter that it was going to be published. It was so exciting!

🍁 How long on average does it take you to write a book?
: If I wrote every day, it would take me between 1-2 months, as I did during the pandemic.

🍁 How long its been since you started writing?
: I started writing when I was very, very young. I can't even remember now. But it is something that I always loved doing.

🍁 What's your favourite genre & trope?
: Romance is my weakness. I don't mind anything, but for some reason the hate to love trope bothers me. I prefer something simple and sweet. A good, old fashioned romance.

🍁 Beside writing, what other things you like to do?
: I love travelling. I love aviation, hence I got a job at the airport. I also enjoy watching good TV series on TV or Netflix.

🍁 Which POV is more difficult to write? Male or Female
: Definitely male. As a female, naturally I can relate to the characters, but it is hard to imagine from a male point of view.

🍁 Tell us about your first book? What was the journey like?
: My first book on Wattpad was FOL. Initially, it was a struggle getting reads, so I stopped writing. But then I decided that I wanted to write a sweet love story about my culture so I continued. Gradually I started getting reads, and I'm happy that it's so appreciated now.

🍁 What are your future plans?
: I want to properly publish at least one of the novels, of my full time job allows me ha ha.

💛 What Power you want to possess?
: I want the power of teleporting lol, so I can magically get from one place to another. Will certainly help me with my work commute🤣.
💛 What is your comfort? ( it can be anything Food, place, person, book, app, song.....)
: My comfort is food, Netflix, my room and my writing. My writing can help me destress very easily.
💛 If you have a chance to live in any country, where will you go?
: I would live in Dubai. The weather, halal food, etc.
💛 If time travel is possible which historic incident you would like to see? What year do you want to go to the future?
: I don't have a specific year, but I would love to visit the times of old British royalty. The history fascinates me so much.
💛 What would you like to call your Fandom?
: I don't have specific names, but the fans of Fawad, I call Fawadians 🤣🤣
