Here's a revised version with some improvements:
"The truth is, change doesn't happen by simply dreaming about it. You have to take action to make it a reality. And today was the day I was taking that first step. As I walked into my new school, I felt a mix of emotions. Starting mid-semester wasn't ideal, but I was determined to make the most of it.
After getting my timetable from the school office, I realized I had a packed schedule ahead - homeroom, history, English, math, and French. But, as I tried to navigate my way to my first class, I got lost in the unfamiliar hallways. "Oops, I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, as I accidentally bumped into someone.
To my relief, the person was understanding. "It's okay, are you new here?" she asked with a smile. I nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Yeah, I have no idea where my classes are." She took my timetable from me and scanned it quickly. "We have all our classes together! Come on, I'll show you the way."
With that, she led me to our first class, and I felt a sense of gratitude towards this kind stranger who was making my transition so much easier."
