4. Do you like him?

Cate winks at me with her unique wink. "Okay, so let me take care of this child, and then we can spend some time together!"

After Cate returns from the guest room, she heads to the kitchen. "Do you want something light to eat while I make lunch? You must be hungry."
"No, thank you. Do you want me to help you?"
"Do you know how to cook?"
"Depending on what you want me to do," I say, laughing.
"Come here and give it a try," she replies, laughing as well.

We prepare some pasta for lunch, well, she does the cooking, and I play the role of the spectator. We whip up enough for three portions, anticipating that Sarah would be hungry when she wakes up.

We start eating, as it's already pretty late, and both of us are quite hungry. "So... this is going to be your first movie, right?"
"Yes! And I can't believe I get to work with you and Sarah. This is just my biggest dream come true!" I express, probably a bit too excited and regretting it in the moment. "Sorry, sometimes I'm too much of a fangirl," I add, feeling a bit shy.
"It's alright; you'll get used to us," she smiles, and I reciprocate with a smile.
"This is delicious, by the way," I say, bringing pasta to my mouth.
"That's because I had the best company," she remarks, and I blush at her comment. "Oh, she's blushing... how cute!"
"Oh, shut up!" I retort, blushing even more.
Suddenly, Sarah approaches us.
"Headache?" Cate asks.
"Actually, I think I'm still a bit drunk because I don't feel anything. But thank you for taking care of me..." Sarah says, a bit embarrassed. However, that embarrassment fades when she notices we're both having lunch and sitting across from each other. "Oh, you're already on your first date? How fast!" Sarah teases.
"Yes! We're getting married tomorrow!" Cate jokes and I laugh.

Sarah joins us for dinner, and the three of us enjoy a pleasant meal together. It's truly enjoyable spending time with them.

The next day

I'm currently outside the theater, awaiting Cate to pick me up. The meeting with Todd went well. He wanted to have a private discussion with me since it was my first time, and he was incredibly kind. He handed me the script, and we discussed the character in depth. Additionally, he mentioned that Timothée Chalamet will also be in the movie, and I'm eagerly anticipating meeting him.

After a brief wait, I spot Cate's car pulling up in front of me.
"Hello," she greets with a hug from the driver's seat as I settle into the passenger's seat. "How did the meeting go?"
"Really well. Did you know Timothée is also in the movie?" I inquire.
"Yes, I did. Why do you ask? Do you like him?" she inquires with a smirk.
"No!" I respond quickly.
"Really? You don't think he's handsome?" she presses further.
"I didn't say I don't find him handsome; he is handsome. But I don't... anyway, you're just trying to mess with me," I laugh, brushing off her teasing.
"Yes, but I still think you like him," she says, maintaining her smirk.
"Whatever..."

We arrive at her house, stepping out of the car and entering her home. Making our way to what seems to be her office, we engage in a brief conversation about our characters before delving into the script together. The chance to work alongside her feels like a stroke of luck.

Cate and I spend several hours reading and re-reading the script together, delving into discussions about our characters. We even share lunch at her house. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time with her, not only because I'm a fan of her work, but also because now that I've gotten to know her a bit personally, I can see she's even better than I anticipated. She's incredibly kind and funny. Being with her is something I don't think I could ever grow tired of. As the evening grows late, Cate kindly offers me a ride home.

"Thanks for the ride," I express my gratitude as I step out of the car.
"Anytime!" Cate replies with a warm smile.

A/n: I reckon there's gonna be a big leap in time in the next chapter 'cause honestly, I'm stumped on how to keep things rolling otherwise.

Also, I've been buried in books lately and totally forgot about writing this story, I'm sorry :)
