Cold hands clutched me as they carried me down the long, bleak hallway.
Even though I couldn't see anything very well, probably the result of a drug they gave me, I had no doubt the people in black were the Neverseen.
"What do you want?" I spat, somehow regaining my voice.
"To guide you to what your best interest would be. We don't want you to regret anything, wish you went down a different path later on in your life. Plus, you've got lots of training to do if you want to fit in with your legacy." An unknown voice said, probably a new recruit.
And that was it.
The word I had been so scared of. Legacy.
I can't even describe how horrible I feel, knowing I was born on the bad side. Knowing no matter how hard I try, I really can never be truly free of the title.
My vision sharpened, and I could see everything clearly. Fintan was the one carrying me, and his blond hair tickled my face. Mommy dearest was in front of me, her Neverseen cloak fitted like a dress. Made her look like the ugliest person in the world, so a few notches higher then before, I guess.
The Neverseen took me into an old, rusty cell, that looked like one of the pictures of human jail cells. They strapped me to a chair, the one I had seen Sophie in earlier, when the Neverseen kidnapped her.
Oh no. What if they got Sophie as well? She already made it very clear she's never going to join, so were they going to kill her?
I gritted my teeth at the thought. I wasn't telling the Neverseen anything, even if it resulted in a long, painful death.
"Now then," Mommy Dearest said, tipping my chin up and pressing another bottle to my lips. Suddenly, I felt dizzy and faint, and my vision became blurry again. This one I really, really hated, because about a second later I could hear the quiet sound of the member's hood's being pulled off. If only I could see their faces...
"Indigo, read his mind." A slightly familiar voice demanded. It was the new recruit from earlier. Suddenly, cold, gloved hand made their way to my forehead. I used the trick Tiergan taught me, stuffed all the important stuff into one, heavy box. I wrapped multiple metal chains, taped it up, put it in even more chains, and taped it up once again.
Indigo ripped through the tape, and started unlocking the chains one by one. As soon as she ripped the second layer of tape, I started panicking.
Stay calm. I told myself. Use all of your concentration, Lord Hunkyhair.
As she started ripping apart the chains, I built new ones. For every chain gone, a stronger one held in its place. I was so tired, but I had to. Finally, Indigo's hands lifted from my forehead. Even though I couldn't see, I could tell she was frowning.
"He isn't letting me get to the important stuff" A. soft, delicate voice said.
"Well, we can fix that!" Lady Gisela chuckled. A soft glass bottle pressed to my lips, and my consciousness whirled away.
