Sophie was sitting on the narrow cot of the healing centre, wondering what the heck she had gotten herself into.

Her heart had burst into fluttery things when Keefe asked her to go with him, but the butterflies were all shrivelled up now that she was gulping 54 different elixirs.

She gave Keefe her biggest death glare, but part of her was relieved she went. It seemed like her head was pounding harder and harder, and light leaping made her a bit dizzy. Keefe was always caring for her, and she could always count on him. She couldn't let him know how much she appreciated that, so instead, she tried to return the same kindness back.

"Alright," Elwin said, startling Sophie out of her daze. "We're done." Then it was usual Elwin nonsense, lecturing her almost more than Sandor. She put the important parts of the conversation in the mental box Probably-Never-Ever-Going-To-Use-This-Advice, and headed back to Havenfield.

"Don't think I'll forgive you!" Sophie warned Keefe when they came back, although she couldn't help but smile as Keefe rose his eyebrows, as if to say Oh, really?

"Fine. I do forgive you." She admitted. "But I AM going to get you back. Mark my words, Keefe Sencen."

"Gotcha." Keefe snickered. "Be scared of the all mighty Foster."

She tried to glare, but it was really hard when she was about to burst out laughing. She sent Keefe out of the room, telling him to go sleep. She blushed slightly when he left. Maybe it was because it was so hot in her bedroom?

Sophie plopped on to her soft, indigo bed, plucking out a book from the white bookshelf behind her. She curled up in the blankets, clapped twice to dim the lights, but clapped thrice to make the light into a warm, purplish tone.

She got distracted, and instead looked at the indigo stars. They were so pretty, but her favourite colour was teal...

Wait.

No it wasn't!

New conundrum, what's her favourite color?!?!

Red, maybe? People always said it goes well with her eyes.

But red reminded her of blood and war and traumatic experiences she did not want to face right now.

Hmmm... Sky blue, maybe?

Nah. It was a nice color, for sure, but it just didn't feel right.

Then, it hit her.

Indigo.

Indigo was her color!

Sophie plunged off the bed, and raced to her closet, and put on indigo pyjamas.

And it felt right.

It just did.

She also decided to clean her room, because stabbing Fitz and being with Keefe made her head feel clear.

When she settled into her bed yet again, Edaline knocked the door. When she came in, she gasped slightly.

"It's my new favourite color."

"Well, I love it darling. Mallowmelt and Lushberry?" She asked.

"Yes!" Sophie exclaimed. And when Edaline snapped, there was a delicious treat in front of her.

She gobbled it down, and invited Grady in.

"Come sit on the bed!" She said to them. "Won't that mess it up?" Grady said with uncertainty.

"That's the fun part of making a bed!" Sophie laughed. "You get to mess it up afterwards." "Alright then!" Grady said, raising his hands up.

She cuddled in with her parents, and felt like it was the perfect opportunity to say this.

"I love you, Mom and Dad."

"Love you too," They both said simultaneously.

And then the world was perfect.

For 1 minute.

Grady's imparter went off, and he checked to see who it was.

And it was Mr. Forkle.

Sophie sat up, her pulse rising.

"Hello, Grady, and good day to you, Edaline." Mr Forkle started. "I have some unfortunate news. It seems as though Keefe Sencen has been captured by the Neverseen."

Thank you so much for reading! And to that one person who commented, I can't tell you how much I appreciate that!

Sorry the chapters are so short, but I kinda want to leave you on cliffhangers like the real keeper of the lost cities.

(I was cruel with this one, right? Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!)
