Chapter 1 - The Dark Sight

  A cub with yellow gold fur woke up and found himself in the Kenyan Guardship. 

  It was a dangerous place. Only the stupid lions would find themselves there.

  Leo was warned to never touch this place. Sadly he was moved here.

  Leo had no idea who moved him. Was it Scar? Some lion who hated him? 

  Leo couldn't figure out the answers. He saw a crow fly by.

  Stupidly, Leo chased the crow down the Guardship and finally caught it. 

  He saw something glow a radiant ember color. It was the King's Place. Lion Guards come here to become Lion Kings. 

  Leo left it alone and returned home. A branch snapped off a tree and scared him. 

  Fourtunantly Leo knew he wasn't hurt. As he returned to Suda's Pride he realized that a lion with pale white fur, his father, the former lion king was hurt. 

  "What happened father?" Leo asked. He was very paranoid since his father was in immediate danger. 

  "Leo you brought a crow?" The lion king asked. "Where did you find that?" A lion with a mane as red as blood and a broad face asked. "You know you shouldn't be outside Suda's Pride! Especially in the Kenyan Guardship! Now give me that crow!" 

  He yanked the crow from Leo's mouth. "Mufasa leave my son alone" Suda said. "Please take Leo away" 

  "Alright me and Suda are going to have a private conversation" Mufasa said as he picked Leo up. "You need to go and play with some other cubs or annoy the fighters"

  As Mufasa walked back into the den Leo just walked silently around the pride.

  He felt worried for Suda. Leo also felt like he was treated like rotten piece of prey to Mufasa.

  He never wanted to harm Leo. He was trying to keep him safe.

  He heard Mufasa whisper to a lion with a mane as white as snow follow him inside the den. 

  Mufasa and the white lion walked out of the den.

  The white lion continued walking while Mufasa stopped and talked to Leo.

  "Suda says he will miss you very much" Mufasa said. "He has joined Star's Pride. Suda at least joined with dignity. Tell this to everyone while me and Kimba go to the Kenyan Guardship and become king and guard. Good day"

  Leo broke out in tears. Suda is dead and he has no one.

  No not no one. Leo has all his brothers by his side at all times. 

  He wants to make sure they are safe as well. Leo wanted to avenge who gave his father the scars.

  Now and fast. Day turned to night and Kimba and Mufasa returned.

  Kimba roared to signal he was king. Mufasa roared to signal he was a guard. 

  Every lion hailed to them. They mourned the death of Suda.

  But they learned to move on. Leo didn't. Mufasa stepped down and walked up to him.

  "Are you okay Leo?" Mufasa asked. "I heard you crying"

  Leo ignored Mufasa's question and continued to cry.

  Leo never wanted any sympathy in the first place. "It's Suda isn't it?" Mufasa asked. Leo nodded.

  "You have to learn to move on" Mufasa continued. "That's the only way out"

  "And what forget him forever?" Leo asked. "No never forget him" Mufasa said. "Always keep him in your heart no matter how you want to forget him"

  Leo felt relieved after hearing what he said. After Mufasa left, Leo decided to venture away from Kimba's Pride once again. 

  He noticed something. It was hard to see but it was a black body of a lion.

  This lion wasn't with the black fur. It was Suda. Leo's father hasn't been buried yet!

  He stepped away from the body of Suda and went another direction. 

  This time Leo bumps into someone familiar. It wasn't Kimba or Mufasa.

  It was Simba. He was doing a patrol. "Hi Leo" Simba said. "Shouldn't you be at the encampment sleeping?"

"I can't sleep" Leo said. "Not after the death of- of"

  "Suda?" Simba asked. "I see. In that case you can sit with me for five minutes. After that go back to the encampment and sleep"

  Leo nodded in agreement and sat next to Simba. After five minutes was up Simba turned toward Leo and realized he was already asleep.

  He picked him up and walked to the pride territory. Kimba noticed that Simba had Leo in his mouth.

  "Simba why is Leo in your mouth?" Kimba asked. "He should have been in the nursery with the other cubs ten minutes ago"

  "I know, Kimba" Simba said. "Leo couldn't sleep after the death of Suda"

  "A mourn for his father ey? I see. Well continue on your way"

  "Thank you, Kimba" Simba walked in the nursery. Since Slats and Jackie were in the first two beds he had to quietly creep to where Leo's bed was. 

  After he placed Leo down Slats, Jackie, Bill, Telly, Coffee, Tanner and George woke up.

  They saw Simba and cheered in excitement. Slats was the oldest cub.

  Jackie being the second oldest. Bill being the third.

  Telly being the fourth. Coffee being the fifth. Tanner being the sixth and George being the seventh.

  "Simba tell us a story!" Coffee yelled. "Quiet down cubs" Simba said.

  "No!" Slats yelled. "I said quiet down you immature piece of prey!" Simba yelled to a point he roared.

  It shocked the cubs and Leo woke up. "Why am I here?" The very young cub asked.

  "Simba! What in Sunia and Moonia's beautiful creation is going on here?!" Mufasa asked, scaring the cubs even more.

  "Your scaring the cubs" Simba said. "I'm not scared" Leo said. "I want to be the toughest lion in the prides! I can even beat Scar myself!"

  "You were scared you startled gazelle!" George teased. "QUIET!" Mufasa yelled.

  All the cubs went silent as the lion guard left the den.

  "Some of us need our rest for tomorrow" He growled.

  "Goodnight cubs" Simba said. He followed Mufasa out the den.

  Leo went back to sleep along with some other cubs but Bill was restless.

  "Can you please..." Slats said, too tired to even finish his sentence. "Go back to sleep. Mufasa and Kimba have a special meeting for us"

  "Finally some lions have respect around here" Leo thought in his head.

  He never wanted to be around his annoying brothers anyway.

  But Leo knew that if it is to survive in Kenya due to Scar and his horrible possible war then he must protect his brothers at all costs.

 He had no idea if his brothers already knew about the death of Suda.

  Leo heard crying behind him. It was George. He must have heard of Suda's death.

  Leo cuddled up beside George to cheer him up. Slats, Jackie, Bill, Telly, Coffee and Tanner also cuddled up on him.

  The whole group of lion cubs slept with each other.

  They dreamed of being in Star's Pride and seeing Suda once again.
