Chapter 8 ~ This Saturday ~

*Ring Ring Ring*

I got up and harshly turned off my alarm. Ahh what the time is it?

I squinted my eyes as I looked at my phone screen.

11:00am

Ahh shoot!

I throw my covers off me as I get up rushing to get ready.

I told Mai I'd meet her at the station at 12:00.

Today we're going to go do some shopping for a gift because it's one of her family members birthday, one of her cousins or something.

I decided to tag along because why not I have nothing better to do anyway. And I figured why not get myself some stuff while I'm at it.

I suddenly hear my phone buzz.

Mai: Y/nnnnnn you are awake, right? 🙂

I shudder as I read that text, she's so scary sometimes.

Y/n: of course, have been for a while now 😅

Mai: Just get here on time 😒

I read the text and closed my phone as I walked out the door.

Jeez I didn't know she loved her cousin that much.

-At the station-

"Maiiii over here!!" I yell enthusiastically as I see here standing there alone.

She sends a cute smile in my direction and runs over.

"I'm so excited y/n!!!" She squeals as she holds my hands.

"Um you really love your cousin don't you, what does she like anyway?" I ask as I laugh.

"Um HE is really easy to shop for actually. And I'm not excited about getting his present I'm excited that we're spending the whole day together!!!" She says the last part happily.

"Oh sorry for that, my bad for assuming." I apologise.

"And we've spent days together before" I chuckle as we walk.

"Stawppp y/n, everyday with you makes my heart skip a beat" she says passionately as she looks at me with a 'cute' expression.

We then both burst out laughing.

"Alright come on then let's seriously look for some things you can get" I say whilst I try and contain my smile.

She nods in agreement and looks around.

*Three hours later*

We've walked around literally most of the shopping Centre and we've only hit the food shops.

So far Mai has bags literally filled with different sorts of food, any and everything that looks tasty. The treats vary from big to small sweet to savoury.

I don't question it at first but then I start to find it really strange.

"Mai, we've been walking around for three hours and all you've done is pick out snacks. Aren't you supooed to be buying a present for your cousin" I ask giving a weird look.

"This is the present for my cousin" she responds whilst referring to the bags.

"Uhmm, How can you get someone that much, I think you've gone overboard there's no way he can eat all of that. And even if he could wouldn't he get sick of so many snacks?" I question her choices now really feeling weirded out.

"Oh y/n, you don't know my cousin. Trust me I know what I'm doing" she affirms as she looks confident.

I decide not to question it any further as she seems determined.

"Okay just a few more stores and then we can get to the packing part" she says more to herself as we walk in holding lots of bags.

"Hmm" I respond whilst chewing on a sweet.

May as well, I thought as I shrugged.

"Y/n, what do you think about thi-" Mai didn't finish her sentence.

I look over to see Mai on the floor along with the bags she was holding.

"You should watch here your go-" this time she cuts herself off

I look at her and see her staring in awe, I then follow her eyes and see none other than, Kise.

"Are you okay?" He sheepishly laughs as he bends down to put the snacks back in the bags.

"U-uh yeah I'm fine" she stutters as she's still gazing at the man she likes.

"Glad to hear, you should probably finish scolding me though, it's my fault for not looking where I was going" he admits as he helps her up.

"No no not at all, in fact I should be the one to apologise I should have moved" she completely crumbles as she speaks to him.

Oh my, why am I going to do with her.

He then looks down at the bags she's holding and gives a curious stare.

She notices and then rushes to cover it up.

"Ah it's not what you think!! This is a present for someone!! I don't eat this much, in fact I'm on a diet!" She goes a little over the top.

"Huh, oh. It's okay even if it was for you I was just curious. Besides Im not really into diets they're not good for you" he beams a cute smile at her and walks off.

"Ha ha ha" she laughs through her teeth as she gives a forced smile.

As he leaves our field of sight she sighs bends down culling her face in her hands.

"I just made a complete fool of myself" she says muffled as she complains.

"Yeah tell me about it" I chuckle.

She gives me a death glare.

"Just give me the bags, I'm going to go wait outside." I sigh in defeat.

I walk out carrying 4 heavy bags of snacks, as I walk out I see a shop window that catches my eye, it has a few books displayed at the front which I'm quite interested in.

It's near the shop I just left so Mai wouldn't have trouble finding me.

I stand outside staring through the glass, as I zone back into reality a notice a tall figure stood behind me looking over me.

I turn around to face Aomine.

What's with today seriously, I mean im seeing him later today anyway.

I groan loudly and he looks at me irritated.

"Tch why are you everywhere I go" he complains whist giving me an annoyed stare.

"Funny, I was about to say the same thing" I retort just as annoyed.

His gaze then averts ti the bags I'm holding.

He looks at me now confused rather than annoyed.

"I'm holding them for a friend" I shortly explain.

He then nods his head slightly in acknowledgement not questing it any further.

I suddenly feel any hands being freed.

I look at Aomine to see that he's taken the bags.

"Seriously, I always end up helping you some how" he mumbles loud enough for me to hear.

"You can give them back, I've got this" I say as I try and take them back.

"Your hands are red and they were shaking" he looks at me with a straight face.

I give up and sigh, oh well at least I've got a walking bag holder.

"I can do this alone" I grumble to myself.

I just roll my eyes at his behaviour, come on Mai come out.

"Y/n you should let me pay you with my body, after all I am your boyfriend now" he says in his normal tone, as he leans closer to me.

My train of thoughts suddenly stop as the only thing that's playing in my mind is his sentence and my eyes widen.

Damn I didn't know we'd skip right into it.
