The seed for this story is an app that really exists: Be My Eyes. It's exactly as I described it in the story, and although I've been a volunteer for years, I've yet to receive a call due to the surplus of volunteers.
There wasn't much more to it, plot-wise. I just wanted to write a short horrifying scenario, and having a blind man unaware of his wife's "condition" and a peeping Tom volunteer regretting his perversion seemed to work well.
If you've read the story, let me know what you think. I'm always open to feedback, suggestions, and critique!
And if you liked this story, you can find it in "The Fall of Souls: and six other twisted stories about unlikable people", available on Amazon! If you do purchase it, I'd greatly appreciate an honest review. :)
