Third Person Pnt Of View.
It was time for William to come home. Freya, Luca and Belle went to pick him from the hospital alongside with Richard. He drove them to the house and as soon as William opened the door, he was taken aback by what he met.
"Welcome home" Everyone chorused and he laughed. He turned to his children and they hugged them.
"Did you plan all this"
"No. It was all the kids Idea"
"Thank you soo much" He said as he hugged them once more.
"It was our pleasure dad and aunt helped us with it" Belle shrugged and William turned to Freya.
"We just did what we thought would make you happy"
"Well. Thank you Freya"
"No prob" She waved her hand.
He was walking around when he saw Sophia's picture, he signed as he looked at the picture. He felt a hand slip into his and he looked up to see Freya.
"It'll be fine"
"I'm so glad that you're here"
"I'm glad to be here"
They moved to the dinning table as they ate, they moved to dessert and cleared the table after everything. Freya escorted William to his room and helped him settle in.
"If you need anything, just call me" She said and he nodded before she left.
She went back downstairs and sat with the kids as they spoke and spoke till it was late.
"I think it's time to take our leave" Ava said as both she and Liam stood up.
"Let me take you" Luca offered but she declined.
"No, Liam can take me. Your dad is home, spend time with him" Ava said and Luca nodded and kissed her.
"Call me when you get home" He said and she nodded before she kissed him once more and left with Liam.
"Whatever happened to your friend" Luca questioned Belle and she shrugged. Her phone chimed and it was a message from John apologising for not being able to make it, She scoffed and put her phone away.
"It was him, wasn't it" Freya questioned and she wriggled her brows.
Her phone started to ring and both Luca and his aunt chuckled. She picked the call.
"Beautiful, I'm sorry"
"It's fine"
"You know I would want to be there but you know Him. He wanted me to work"
"It's alright. It's important"
"Not as important as you if I'm being honest" He flirted and she chuckled.
"What can I do to make you okay"
"Buy me a car" She joked and he laughed.
"Of course and I'll even buy you the world so you can kick out whomever you want" He said and she laughed.
"I'm happy to hear you laugh and I bet you're smiling so hard"
"Stop it"
"I'll come see you when I'm done. I promise"
"Alright"
"I hope you are holding up well"
"I'm coping. We all are"
"That's good to hear. I have to go beautiful. See you around Godddess" He said and cut the call. Belle turned to her brother and aunt. Freya folded her arms.
"The boy is falling hard" Freya grinned.
"No. He just loves to flirt" She denied and Luca shrugged.
"Whatever makes you sleep at night.
I'm going to check on your dad. I'll be back soon" Freya said and left.
Belle and Luca sat in the couch, Belle stood up and put in a video of their last time with their mom. She laid her head on Luca's shoulder as they watched the video. Tears were running down their cheeks and they couldn't believe that their mom was actually gone.
"She was here one minute" Belle said.
"She told us she was always going to be here" Belle said
"I guess life didn't want her to be"
"The truth is, I keep on saying that we need to be strong but I don't know if I can"
"Yes you can. Mom isn't gone. She's alive in here" He pointed to her chest.
"And she's always going to be there, giving us the strength and courage we need"
Freya was about to enter into William's room when she heard sniffes and sobs. She knocked lightly and waited.
"Come in" His voice came from the other side and she walked in.
"William"
"Freya. I'm sorry"
"You don't have to apologise for anything"
"I know I'm suppose to be strong for the kids but I don't know how. It just gets so hard"
"I understand"
"I close my eyes and I see her face, her smile, her laughter, I can hear her voice. I look around the house and all I see is her"
"You have to give yourself time"
"And you"
"You know me and my codependency. I'm actually scared to face the fact my sister isn't going to walk through those doors. I'm scared of what would happen to me if I accept it. I'm scared" She said.
"When Belle told me that she spoke to her mother, I was soo surprised. She told her to tell me to be happy but I just don't know how to do that, she was my one and only. I love her sooo much that it hurts"
"Even though she died, I felt at peace when she said she was at peace. With her memory, I'm going to try and move forward and I'll be strong" Freya said and wiped her tears.
"I wish I was half as strong as you"
"You are. You are being there for your children no matter what"
"You should get some rest. You need it" She said and he nodded before laying back in bed.
She smiled small and closed the door behind her as she covered her mouth the suppress a sob as she walked away. She went downstairs and saw that they had both fallen asleep. She took a blanket and placed it over them and gave each of them a kiss on their forehead and walked out to sit on the porch.
"I will always be there for them. I will protect them with my life. I promise Sophia" He said to himself but to the hearing of Freya.
She studied him. They all were at a stagnant point in their lives.
