I yawned as I sat at my kitchen table. I glanced down at my breakfast, peering at the now soggy cereal. I sighed, lifting the spoon to my mouth to take a bite. Suddenly, a harsh slap to my back caused me to jerk forwards, making me choke on my food.
"Good morning, sis!" An overly cheerful voice chimed over my shoulder, and I glared up at the culprit.
"Why the hell are you so chipper, Toru? It's 6:00am for god's sake." I grumbled, picking my spoon back up, and taking a large bite of my cereal.
"Are you shaming me for being happy? Now that's just evil." My brother gave me a fake pout, being the drama queen that he is.
"Yeah." I simply replied, too tired to really argue with Toru today.
"Hey, isn't it your first day at that other school?" My brother asked, slightly grimacing as he mentioned my new school.
"Karasuno? Yeah, it's weird transferring schools a few weeks into the year, but it's not too big of a deal." I shrugged before looking back at my breakfast.
"Ugh, Karasuno..." He grumbled, crossing his arms as he scrunched up his face. "That stupid little control freak is there..." He muttered, and I raised a brow, curious as to who he was talking about.
"You? Calling somebody a control freak? Wow." I whistled, causing Toru's eye to twitch from annoyance. "Didn't you play a practice match with them not too long ago?" I asked, remembering my brother being extra whiney about a week ago.
"Unfortunately." He grumbled before sighing loudly. "Man! I still wish that you'd stay at Aoba Johsai with me, Haru!" Toru whined, and I sighed.
"It's not like we had any classes together since you're a third year and all." I began, "Plus, it's not really working out..." I mumbled the last part, staring down into my cereal. Toru grew quiet for a moment, frowning down at me before quickly switching up.
"Well! I'm headed off. Lock up after me!" Toru gave me another pat on the back, causing me to choke again. I grumbled curses under my breath before turning towards my brother.
"Why are you leaving so early? Last time I checked, practice doesn't start until later." I asked, and my brother stopped before turning towards me.
"I'm going for a morning run. Duh." He sassed before pulling his phone out and plugging in some earbuds. "Bye!" He called out, slamming the door behind him as he left.
I only rolled my eyes at my brother's behavior as I sighed.
Once I finished my breakfast, I left, thinking about what Karasuno would be like. I gripped the straps of my backpack as I walked towards the school. It was a pretty far walk since it wasn't conveniently close to my house.
