Paintbrush thoughts were puddering around their mind. Like an endless loop on a train that never stops, where the rail just goes on and on in circles. Thinking was just further straining their stressed-out brain.

They let out an exhausted sigh, running their hands through their long bristles. For a moment their eyes darted to their roommate's bed, typically he was playing Mario Kart, or scrolling tumblr, so why wasn't he there?

Paintbrush shoved that thought into the back of their mind, the train moved on. Perhaps they should check up on Lightbulbs' mental health, she'd been better recently but it was obvious she needed some help.

Paintbrush was her best friend. Best friends should check up on their friends, right? Wasn't that a friend thing?? They took a quick breath before lifting themselves off the bed. Wandering off into the hallways and began heading to Lightbulb and Test Tube's room.

Paintbrush took some deep breaths before knocking on the dark oak door. Their eyes danced around the hall boredly, a simple way of passing the time before she arrived.

"Oh! Hi Painty!!" Lightbulb beamed at them pulling the door open and inviting them inside.
The room was spotless, not a single thing out of place, and a lemony smell lingered in the air.

Around a year ago, Lightbulb brought a bucket of mud up her room and woke up both them and Test Tube in the middle of the night just to show them. Then she made it into a castle for Baxer and the mud got everywhere.

Lightbulb she hadn't even wanted to clean it up, even though the room was a disaster. Eventually OJ walked into Lightbulb's room and got covered in mud, all because of Baxter throwing mud around with his pincers. They wished they'd recorded it, the look of shock and disgust on his face was hilarious.

It didn't feel like a memory, it felt like a core memory that could bring a smile to their face day or night. Lightbulb had been staring straight into their face like a parrot for the past 10 minutes. She poked them in the eye, grabbing their attention. "Hm?" They grunted, snapping out of it. "Whatcha thinkin' about??" she poked them again. "Nothing, nothing. Just your idiocy." they poked her back, this time in the shoulder. "For the record my idiocy makes you laugh," she smirked at them. "Spare me the details." They flicked her in the nose. They both looked at each other for a second. Mere moments after they were rolling on the ground in laughter. Everything was right in the world. Nothing would ever go wrong.
