"Kaitou 1412?"

Said Harumi in wonder, she was talking on the phone with Ran on the other line.

Ran
[Yeah, you never heard of him before?]

Harumi hummed in respond, completely interested of the subject in the conversation.

Ran
[He was illusion thief that steal in the night of the moonlight. He would always announce his appearance through the riddle and send it to the police before his heist. Oh, he also a magician that use a lot of his trick to fool the police and he also a master of disguise that always use someone else face and voice to escape himself for getting caught. Of course, he has a lot of young girl fans.]

Harumi raised her brow at that description she listen from her best friend.

Harumi
[He sound like a thief that love for attention judging by what you describe him earlier]

She heard the chuckled from Ran on the other line.

Ran
[Yeah, everyone can see that. He is a magician after all, they were always seek attention of their audience]

Harumi
[Hmm, So...why you bring this up? You know that I'm not interested with thieves and robberies. I'm homicide detective]

Ran
[Yeah, well...Sonoko's family reserve his heist note yesterday. It's look like the thief targeting their family heirloom, but the problem is...they don't know when he would be coming. The police still can't figured out the riddle he send, so...]

Harumi
[*sigh* And so...you want me to take a look and try to solve it, correct?]

Ran
[Yes, you're right on that. So, can you...?]

Harumi
[Alright, send me the note. When I solve it, I'll text you]

Ran
[Thank you, Shinichi]

There was silence between them and Harumi though that Ran already hang up on her before her best friend started to talked again.

Ran
[Oh, yeah...I've passed Kuroba-kun at Shibuya earlier]

Harumi
[Kaito?]

Ran
[Yes, with Aoi-kun. Since we just only passing, they didn't notice me]

Harumi
[Huh. It's been raining all day. So...with umbrella covering everyone face, of course they won't notice]

Ran
[Yeah, you're right...Anyway, that's all I want to talk to you. So...goodnight]

Harumi
[Yeah, goodnight!]

Then, they off the call. *Ding* there's the sound of message coming in, Harumi opened it and saw that she reserved a message from Ran. It was a picture of Kaitou 1412 notification notice.

Harumi read the content and realize that it was a code. The content said that:

"April Fool...When the moon splits in half, I will come to visit the origin of the name of the jet black star at the calling of the waves...Phantom thief...?"

Harumi raised an eyebrow realizing that the notice is ripped and was hard to read. So she messaged Ran to ask.

Harumi
/Hey, why the notice was ripped?/

Ran
/It can't be helped, Sonoko's dad got mad and ripped it when it came. So we had to tape it together.../

Harumi
/Oh...Okay then/

Harumi end the chat and continued to solve the riddle until she was fall asleep.
