Good...Evil

What is the difference? It may seem so simple, but it is much more complicated than one may seem to believe. You might think that it's all just about heroes and villains, hunters and monsters, the power of happiness and the power of witchcraft and wizardry. It seems so simple on paper, but you'd only be scratching the surface of what it truly means.

Take, for example, the brothers Tedros and Teo Pendragon. Sons of one of the most recognizable heroes to ever roam, King Arthur. You'd think that being the sons of the king means that they would instantly become students for the School of Good, but you'd be wrong. Unlike his brother Tedros, Teo was a special case, or to put it simpler, an anomaly.

He had traits of both good and evil in him, one could say he was an abomination, but that would be rewarded with a bruise or a black eye. You may think he's cruel, but just like other heroes or princes, they help whenever they are needed. When you ask for his forgiveness, you are either forgiven, or not.

Nothing is just black or white with Teo, merely shades of a dull grey that may never seem to darken or lighten. It has gotten to the point where he is his own school, one for Neutrality, but the headmaster has made it clear that Teo has Ever and Never sides to him, which unfortunately makes him the outcast of the schools, including to his own brother.

"Tedros, what's gotten into you, brother? Why do you ignore me like I am a Never?" A younger Teo asks, distraught over the actions of his brother in the past, his eyes tearing up at the sigh of him, his back turned to him for fear that he may look upon something disgusting.

"How should I know that you aren't a Never? You are not even an Ever too. You're just an anomaly." Tedros says, gritted teeth as his words spew out like venom. His brother flinches at his harsh tone, more tears streaming down his face. The one person he has trusted all these years, inseparable at best, has gone and left him because he was different, different than anyone could ever imagine. Well, that is until Tedros, merely a few weeks after this, tries to win back his brother's forgiveness after everything he said, but Teo merely ignores him or gives a harsh remark before leaving his brother alone.

Everyone in school was shocked when Teo arrived, and had nearly all of the classes that an Everboy and a Neverboy would take. And it was a heavy study load to tackle all at once, and it didn't help that his classmates would avoid him like a rock stuck on a rapid river as the water flows around it. This is what Teo endures throughout his days in the school, and he hated that he was different.

Today was no different, the same old routine that Teo would unfortunately endure for the rest of his school life: Get out of bed, do his basic necessities, study and hone his unique form of magic, which he calls Crow Magic. It is as simple as it sounds, he channels his innate magical power to call upon the birds that symbolize mystery and makes them heed his every command. he was probably the only one who could do such a thing, not to mention that he has also created a spell whereby he can shapeshift into a murder of crows and use that to swiftly go from point A to B.

The Evers were never welcoming towards him, the Nevers weren't so different. Just because he's exhibited the traits of a Never, he is, and always will be, the son of King Arthur, which means he still had some Ever traits to him that would put him in the School for Good. Not even the teachers and the headmaster could do anything to rectify this situation. He was his own side, an anti-hero some would say, but just like his brother would say, he's just an Anomaly.
