Three Perfect Days

Chapter 14

-Cheska-

After the trip in the beach, sir Luke and Anika became distant to each other. Sir Luke is always in his beast mode. Anika on the other hand always smiles. Well, a fake one.

I don't know what's the problem but I know something happened between the two. And it made me sad. They look good together.

I walked pass the garden when I saw Anika sitting on one of the benches.

She looked up and wipe something in her eyes. Is she crying?

"Nanny I don't know what to do. How can I love two guys?"

She has a nanny?

Wait? Love two guys? Two?

Then I remember, she have someone that she likes. Oh my God! She loves that guy and she fell for sir Luke. Then maybe sir Luke found out and they fought.

"I told him that we need to stop whatever we have. And now he is doing a really good job in being cold and distant to me." then she laughs while her tears continue to fall.

"I should be happy right? But I don't know why I feel so broken. He doesn't looked at me, talked with me even a single word."

She asked sir Luke to end it?

"Do you remember when I asked you if is it possible to love two guy because I love both Adam Levine and Jason Wade? Then you told me that there will be only ONE man that is destine for me to loved. But nanny I think I'm experiencing it now." Then she cries

She loves them both.

"You know I love Paolo. He is really special to me. But I think I love Luke too. At first I deny it because I know I love Paolo. And now, I can't deny it anymore. I want to be honest with myself."

"Am I a player nanny? Because I'm feeling like I am." she said between cries

I can't just watch her like that. I slowly walk towards her,

"You're not a player."

I said and her head snapped.

She looks shocked. Before she ask me if I heard what she said a while ago I nod.

"I heard it. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." then I hugged her.

I'm waiting for her to say anything but instead she cries. She hugged me.

"Sssssh..."

"What will I do Cheska? I love them both."

"You know your nanny is right you can't love two guys. There is only one guy for you to love. It will never be two. Maybe you love the both of them but not the same intensity. You will love the other guy more than the other."

She doesn't say anything.

We stayed in the garden for a little longer then we headed back to our room.

She stays quiet when we reach our room. She pretends to be sleeping but I hear every sob from her.

The Other morning I see Anika in the kitchen helping mrs. Reyes in preparing breakfast with a smile, and again a fake smile.

She tries to hide every sadness by smiling. I feel bad for her. My thoughts are interrupt when I sir Luke enter the kitchen.

"I want breakfast now!" Sir Luke said and he looked at Anika who is chopping onions

"I don't want her cooking my breakfast." everyone stopped and looked at Anika.

She stopped and looked down.

"I will clean the pool Mrs. Reyes. I forgot to do it yesterday."

Mrs. Reyes just nod and she quickly leaves the room. Sir Luke smirks.

"I don't know what happened but it's not right for you to do that." Mrs. Reyes said it with authority

"That's the thing. You don't know." then he left.

Sir Luke never talked to Mrs. Reyes like that before. He really respect her.

It's already quarter before one but I haven't seen Anika after the dramatic encounter this morning. Rose said she doesn't eat her breakfast and now I think she has no plan in eating lunch.

I'm about to look for Anika in the pool side when Larry the guard approach me with a guy. A handsome guy. I think he is one of sir Luke's friend.

"Good afternoon Cheska, have you seen Anika?"

"Good afternoon too Larry. No I haven't. Why? Do you need something?" I asked and I looked at the guy behind him

"This guy is looking for her." He points at the guy. I looked at the guy from head to toe. He is looking for Anika?

"Can you bring him to her? I can leave my post especially this time of our life." he said and I know what he means.

As I said sir Luke is on Beast Mode.

"No problem." I said and smiled

"Thanks." then he left

I looked at the guy again. He is really handsome. He looks like a prince. I wonder who he is. Oh no, maybe Anika owes him some money. Or maybe he is her ex-boss.

"Excuse me, I don't want to be rude but can you show me where Anika is?" He asks nicely

"Oh. May I know who you are before I bring you to Anika? For security reasons, you know."

"Security reasons?" He smiles. "Well may I know who is asking?" He asks

"I'm Cheska her friend."

"Oh. She already have a friend huh. Well I'm her friend too...

...I'm Paolo."

You know I love Paolo.

He is Paolo?

Her Paolo?

The one she also love? That Paolo?

My thoughts were interrupted by the voice of sir Luke.

"Cheska have you seen. . ."

He stopped and looked at Paolo.

"May I know who are you?" He asks Paolo and looks at me "Who is he Cheska?"

"Well sir Luke... He is Pa~"

Paolo cuts me, "I'm Paolo Tan." And he extend his hand to sir Luke. And he grab it, "Lucas Alvonich."

Oh God. I feel so pretty standing between these two guys.

"Pao?"

And the three of us look at where the voice coming from and there is the beautiful Anika standing looking at us. This girl is so beautiful that these two guys like her.

"Anika!" Then he runs towards her and hugs her.

This is a Oh-uh situation!

I looked at sir Luke who is staring. . .glaring. . . Right... glaring at Anika and Paolo. I see his anger.

Sir Luke cleared his throat. And with that Paolo released Anika.

"You know each other?" He asks

"Yes, I'm his. . ." He looked at Anika and smiled, "Friend." Paolo answered

Whew! I thought he will say 'suitor' or 'future boyfriend'.

I looked at sir Luke. Jealousy is all over his face. But why he just said friend, did he feels something more than it? I hope not.

"I see." sir Luke said then he looked at Paolo's arm that was wrapped in Anika's waist.

Uh-oh.
