I stared at the clock above the bored in the class room, wishing for the time to go by faster. I could feel Patch's stare on my back from his spot next to me. It was honestly starting to freak me out. I don't know about you, but I don't want a guy that I met in a graveyard staring at me. It's just not normal. Then again, Patch has black eyes. Nothing about him can be normal.

"Ms. Nightroad. Mr. Cross. Why aren't you guys working on the project? It is worth 68% of your final grade after all." I jumped as Mrs. Chamber's was suddenly in front of the table Patch and I currently resided on.

I stuttered for a response and looked over at Patch for help. I saw him smirk in amusement, "We were thinking about what we want to ask each other about our lives." He lied easily, "I got one." He turned to me and I braced myself for a question, most likely a personal one. "What do you like to do in your free time?" Well that was unexpected.

"I..I uhm.. write music and stories." I loved to write, I never really did until Ross died. but I have always loved to write music. I also play the guitar and sing a little, but I'm not that good. It was always Ross's thing.

His eyes softened a little and I didn't know why, what did me liking music and writing such a vulnerable thing?

Mrs.Chambers smiled slightly, "That's a good start. Keep going." She walked off and over to Cody and his partner Jane.

I bit my lip and looked back over at Patch, "So um," I started, "Its my turn to ask a question right?" Oh great question Ever, I thought sarcastically.

He chuckled under his breath but I could still hear him, "Yeah."

I took a minute to think of a good question, After a few moments I finally thought up a good question. "Why did you move here?"

His eyes suddenly got dark, if that's even possible with black eyes. "Reasons." Before I could question said 'Reasons', Patch stood up.

"Where are you going?" Both I and Mrs.Chambers asked.

"Im not feeling so great." I frowned, knowing that was a lie. Mrs.Chambers nodded and Patch walked out of the room quickly.

I sighed and gathered up the assignment papers and stuffed them in my folder. After I shut the folder, I laid my head down, since I had no partner to finish the assignment with. I stayed like that until the bell rung. When it did, I jumped up and sped walked out of the classroom. I ignored Cody's calls for me to wait, id see him at lunch anyway.

I just wanted to know why Patch avoided my question and why I was so damn curious to know him. And for him to know me.
