Daniel's POV:
I felt a slight buzz in my pocket. I felt around until I found my phone and pulled it out. The iphone screen shined brightly in the dimly lit warehouse. I looked up to find Teagan glaring at me. I quickly turned down the brightness.
"Guys, I know what we should do," I heard Teagan say. I focused in on my phone, ignoring Teagan's jabbering. One new message. I tapped on it.
Tell her how you really feel.
Huh?
I quickly glanced up from my phone and peered around the circle. Who just sent that? I adjusted my glasses and checked to see if anyone had their phones out. Nope.
My thumbs danced as I tried to think of what to reply.
"Who, is, this," I mumbled as I typed.
"Huh?" Alison whispered, to my right. I turned and looked at her.
"Oh. Nothing!" I whispered in reply.
She turned her attention back to Teagan. Seeing no reply,
I turned my phone off and tried to shake the message from my mind.
"So Trust Me. It's... It's a pranking game," I focused back on Teagan as she explained her game.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about the message. There was no way I'd told anyone who Iiked. No way. Whoever it was, how did they know? And why did they want me to tell her? It was strange. I lifted my eyes and looked at each person around the circle. Alison, Landon, Aria, Violet... Violets eyes met mine. I held the gaze but she quickly looked away. "Well that was weird," I thought to myself.
I decided the message must have been a wrong number. It was the only logical answer. Now I guess I was in for some pranking.
Teagan's POV:
All of a sudden a bright light from across the circle flashed, half blinding me. I looked up to see Daniel quickly turning down his screen brightness. Whatever.
"Guys. I know what we should do," I said, a smile playing on my mouth. I heard Alison yell something from across the room. Then the sound of water spraying out.
"Stop fucking with the water and come over here!" Aria scolded her.
Ugh. Can't everyone just shut up and listen to me? They were all pissing me off tonight. My eyes caught Landon's, and he winked. I smiled flirtatiously at him. He raised his eyebrows and gave me a suggestive look. You know, it was strange. Landon was every girl's dream guy. He was tall, had gorgeous chestnut hair, and the most adorable dimples. He was perfect at sports, and his body was amazing. The best part? He had one blue eye, and one green one. God he was beautiful. But.. I didn't feel anything. Nothing. Any other girl from my school would have gotten butterflies just looking at him. Landon could make a straight guy gay for gods sake. But I felt nothing. And, not like it's a big deal or anything, but I knew all the guys at school were head over heels for me, too. Probably some of the girls. I was the queen bee, the popular girl, every girl's envy. My life was perfect, or so it seemed. Hey, what can I say? I'm gorgeous. But Landon and I, everyone expected us to be THE couple. The golden couple. Prom king and queen. Quarterback and head cheerleader. You know how it goes. But I just never felt it. Maybe I'd have to find out for myself. Jolted out of my thoughts, I found everyone at the circle staring at me. Ah, center of attention again. I stole a quick look at Landon and blew him a kiss. He chuckled under his breath.
"Okay, so I know what we're gonna do," I whispered. I had the best idea.
