The Reynolds family, consisting of Oscar Reynolds as the family man, Myah Reynolds as the mother, Cletus Reynolds as the oldest son, Kayleigh Reynolds as the only daughter, and Darius Reynolds as the youngest boy, celebrate Darius's 5th birthday.
After cutting the cake and opening gifts, Oscar turned on the news.
"Breaking news. Political party 'Liberty City' has passed a new federal law that makes all federal crime legal. The law makes crimes like murder, robbery, sexual assault, and much more legal for a 1 week period. The law takes effect starting September 4, 2042. We advise you to lock your doors and windows and have a weapon on you at all times."
"May God be with you all."
Oscar: What the fuck? Myah!
Oscar called Myah down and informed her of the purge. The two parents go to a gun store and buy a Remington 870 shotgun and an M92 pistol using Oscars license as he had a job as a hunter.
The kids went to sleep, as Oscar and Myah got ready.
The SWAT team had been falsely tipped off that the Reynolds Residence had cocaine, marijuana, and other illegal substances. This took place a few hours before the purge. Marcus Burnham was sent as one of the leading officers to search the house.
11:40 PM
Marcus and his team of 4 others stormed the Reynolds residence as Oscar and Myah put down their weapons. The kids had woken up as well. Once they found out that there was no drugs, they were about to leave, until..

The clock had struck to 12 o'clock. It was September 4. Immediately, the street outside had been torched with fire, presumably from a Molotov. Gunshots were heard, and screams were heard.
The Purge had begun.
The SWAT team went out of the house and tried shooting people down, but failed. 3 of the 5 members of the team, died.
The lucky two left alive, was Marcus Burham, and another officer.
They had ran back into the house and informed Oscar and Myah to try their best to kill as many attackers as they can.
The 4 killed a total of 39.
They eventually were safe, but not for long. They eventually evacuated the house, driving away from the suburbs.
They eventually got to a cabin they would come to every now and then, as the Reynolds family's second house.
Marcus and the other officer told Oscar and Myah their names, as they did the same once they settled in, the other officers name being Anthony Wayne.
The 7 people were safe, for now.
