Part 6: The Finale

"Welcome to the finale, competitors! The final challenge is... wait for it..." A drumroll played for much longer than it should've. "A combination of all the contests we've done today! It'll be a race to the finish and the first person to get to the end will win the game and the TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!! Contestants, please stand near one of the hooks and let the challenge BEGIN!" Alice saw hooks attached to ropes drop down from the ceiling. Alice and Taylor looked at Carina, who immediately started tying her underwear to the hooks. Alice and Taylor did the same and saw Carina pull on a second rope behind her, lifting her up off the ground by her undies. Alice and Taylor followed in her footsteps. Once they got high enough, they saw a platform 30 feet above the ground. They kept pulling themselves up until they reached the platform, then swung toward it and untied their underwear.

Alice and Taylor tried to catch up to Carina, but she was too far ahead. They ran down a flight of stairs that went back to the ground and were met by two bikes. "Not this again..." said Alice. "Wait," said Taylor. "I have an idea." They remembered that the bikes would pull on your underwear harder as you pedaled, then slowly let go of it while you stopped pedaling. So Taylor quickly locked the two bikes together and they each hopped on one of them. They alternated pedaling, making them move at twice the speed a solo biker would move at. Once they got to the end, they disconnected their underwear and ran as fast as they could to the next challenge. "Looks like you two got here at the same time! Great!" shouted the announcer. "Now you must wedgie each other until one of you decides to call it quits! If you do, you must stay behind for 5 minutes!" "I forfeit," said Taylor. "Oh. Welp, good enough for me," said the announcer. "Alice, you may continue." Alice ran at full speed to the next challenge: the trivia challenge.

This time, the pedestals had screens on them and players had to type in the correct answers on the screen. Alice quickly tied her underwear to the hook provided and answered the first of ten questions. Meanwhile, Carina was standing at the other pedestal, waiting. "What are you waiting around for? Got another trick up your sleeve?" asked Alice. Carina just grumbled and crossed her arms. Alice shrugged and continued answering questions, but got stuck on the last one. Soon enough, a staff worker approached Carina dragging a wheelbarrow with a pedestal in it. "This pedestal's broken. Here's a new one," the staff worker said. Alice realized what was happening now: they must've forgotten to give Carina the cheat pedestal! Though now that she had the braille to her advantage, Carina was able to quickly answer the questions and move on.

"C'mon, think Alice!" Alice said to herself. At this point, she had attempted the last question so many times that she was hanging a few inches off the ground by her panties. Just then, Taylor came to the rescue. They looked at the question onscreen and immediately typed in the correct answer, freeing Alice from the hook. "Wow, how did you-" said Alice. "We're running out of time, let's go!" Taylor interrupted, grabbing onto Alice's hand and dashing toward the next challenge. There, they are met with the same maze used in the second-to-last challenge. "Looks like all the contestants are at the final part of the challenge!" the announcer announced. "Your goal is to get to the end of the maze, but try not to get wedgied by Biff! The first person to get to the end wins the competition!!"

Alice and Taylor quickly venture into the maze and are met with a split path. "Let's split up so that at least one of us will be able to make it before Carina," said Taylor. Alice nodded her head and went to the right while Taylor went to the left. After a few twists and turns, Alice is lost in the maze. "How is this maze so big?" asked Alice. "So that nobody can hear you scream," said Biff. Alice turned around and saw him approaching her quickly. She didn't question the fact that Biff's answer didn't make sense to her question and started running the opposite direction as Biff trailed behind her. She kept running for what felt like hours until eventually
she realized that she'd need a plan to lose him. She had an idea and retraced her steps back to the beginning of the maze where her and Taylor split. She went into the left path instead of the right and Biff followed.

Meanwhile, Taylor was still trying to navigate on their side of the maze. "This maze goes on forever," said Taylor. "Carina's probably already near the end..." Just then, they found a straight path leading right towards the exit! "Oh my gosh, is this really it?!" they said. Before they were able to walk the path, Carina tackled them away from the exit and to the side. "There you are..." said Carina. Taylor started to sweat. They were cornered and the exit was so close! They prayed that Carina wouldn't look to her left or she'd see the straight path to the exit and run for it. Taylor decided to stall for a bit. "Hi there," they said. "How's the competition?" Carina looked at them strangely.

"What are you playing?" she said. "What do you mean?" said Taylor. "You're up to something, I know it," Carina responded. "Oh yeah?" said Taylor, childishly. "You were the one who was secretly cheating throughout this entire competition! And you're saying I'm the one who's up to something?" Carina's look went from skeptical to angry. "Look, Taylor. You better surrender right now or I'll give you the biggest wedgie anyone will ever get in a million years. If you value your life, you would give up RIGHT NOW and tell me where Alice is. I know you two are plotting something, and I won't rest until I-" Carina is tackled by Biff and tumbles to the floor toward Taylor. "I guess Carina was right," said Alice. "Woah," said Taylor. "How did you get Biff on your side?? I thought he hated you!" "I didn't," said Alice. "I just got him to follow me here, and then I hid at the corner near the exit right there." She pointed at the corner she hid in that curled inward toward the exit. "He couldn't find me, but saw Carina and decided that he may as well target someone more worthwhile," said Alice. "That's awesome," said Taylor. "Now let's get to the exit before anything else happens!" Alice and Taylor ran down the straight path to the exit as Biff wedgied the life out of Carina.

"Alice and Taylor win?!" the announcer yells, completely disregarding the fact that everyone can hear. "I thought for sure that Biff would keep going for Alice!" "Welp," said Biff, standing above Carina, who was tied up in a wedgie. "Seems like you forgot about the time she sneak attacked me in this very maze." The announcer made a long sigh. "I can't believe this, Carina was supposed to win!" the speaker announced to all the people sitting and listening. Soon, they all started booing and yelling at the announcer for hosting such a biased competition. The speaker stayed silent and didn't announce anything else. "Well, it looks like we aren't getting $10,000 after all," said Alice. "What a waste of time this competition was..." "Are you kidding?" said Taylor. "This has to be one of the most interesting things I've ever experienced! Sure, most of it was pretty sucky, but I had a lot of fun near the end there. It was nice to stick it up to a cheater and stop this huge scam." "You know what?" said Alice. "You're right... ... ... ... ... kinda."
