--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The fire was sparking brightly in the evening sun set. A beautiful arrangement of Orange, yellow and pink hues illuminating the sky above them. The hike up the mountain to the river rush had taken up most of the day light and Christina decided not to take a chance at running into the telmarines in the dark. Shifting over to her side and groaning as a rock stabbed its way into her shoulder. Damn it the ground was uncomfortable. But this sure beat the cold stone floors of the castle the only time they where bearable was when the professor would sneak her an extra blanket at night. Oh how she missed the old man all of his warmth and wisdom. Especially now that her and Caspian are separated.
She missed that cocky prince of hers. Having lion blood coursing through her veins does nothing for her temper. Although her father has a calm soothing atmosphere about him she did not inherit it. Instead her mothers beauty and short temper are her only reminders of the women. Thinking of her mother made she heart ache, after the telmarines took the thrown there was no room for her and father to rule. Although confident that Caspian would lead the kingdom with the wisdom her father did before, it all depended on weather or not he was still alive to take his uncles place on the thrown. But somehow she knew that Caspian would find his way back to her and to is rightful place. Drifting into a calming sleep Christina was completely unaware of the youngest Pevensie brother lying awake across from her. The roaring fire slowly diminishing between them. His blue eyes slowly taking in her sleeping form her chest rising at a steady pace was nothing compared to his rapidly beating heart. No matter how much Edmund tried to get his thoughts to sleep her golden eyes brought him back to consciousness.
"How can she be this distracting?", Edmund thought huffing out a breath and turning over onto his side facing away from the embers of the fire. She just seemed so familiar and then again not. Her eyes where Edmund's biggest distraction they just seemed so familiar as if he had seen them before, a younger more innocent version of those same eyes. Even if his attraction held deeper feelings he decided not to dewell on them. Earlier on the hike to the camp grounds he had over heard Christina talking to Peter about the Telmarianian Prince she was looking for, explaining how they had been separated during the escape from the castle. She had seemed quite found of this prince and anxious to find him. Perhaps she already had feelings for this guy ?
Becoming annoyed with his own thoughts Edmund forced the thoughts from his head and forced himself into a restless sleep.

Caspian had been hiking for about three days now, refusing to stop until they reached the cave that the centaurs had described. With a war clearly brewing they needed to prepare as many soldiers as possible. His pride already aching from having his thrown taken from him. How could he have been so blind to his uncles plans ? Of course he wanted his fathers place ruling Narnia, never giving Caspian an reason to like the disdainful man had only encouraged his father in giving the thrown to his son in case of his death.
Now with him away from the castle and thought to be dead the telmarines thrown will be tainted with hatred that will ruin his fathers legacy.
Marching besides the Minotaurs and centaurs Caspian fumed with irritation, and worry. No sign of Christina had been found since they had been separated. Although Caspian knew she would be fine, she was not weak. No. Not even close to a damsel. He couldn't help but worry about her being dragged back to the castle, how she survived the inprisonment over all those years he had no clue. But was thankful for it. Having hiked all through the night to avoid detection by any soldiers his body ached for a rest but his mind pushed the pain aside. Traveling with centaurs, minaturs and any other kind of magical creature was dangerous enough alone, an entire army was just suicide. But Caspian wouldn't be able to sleep until they made it to the cave and he had his princess by his side again.

Lucy stirred awake the next morning the sun shining into her eyes between the tree tops above her. The breaking of branches behind her head caused her to jump to her feet and follow the noise. Cherry blossom trees dropping magenta flowers on her hair. The trees danced into an elegant gate way to a clearing of green lush grass with a majestic lion standing proud against the sun rise.
"Aslan!", Lucy cried in delight rushing toward the lion and throwing her arms around his giant body. Causing them to lose balance and fall to the grass with a thud. Low thunderous laughter seemed to vibrate the air around Lucy while she giggled happily cresting the lions golden mane.
"It has been some time, hasn't it young one", Aslan rumbled laying on this stomach his tail resting beside him.
"You've grown", Lucy commented a smile still wide on her face.
"Every year you grow, so shall I", Aslan rumbled. A sad look appeared on Lucy's features as a dreaded question formed in her head and was spoken quietly through her lips."Why haven't you come to help us?"
Aslan sighed deeply.
"Things never happen the same way twice dear one"
A snap of a branch woke Lucy from her sleep and rushed her out of her dream and back to reality.
