“You’re a horrible person, why am I friends with you?” He said in a joking manner.
“You talked to me first.” She went along with the joke, followed by a giggle.

He looked her dead in the eye and said, “You’re a horrible person. Why was I friends with you?” His demeanor was so dead and full of hatred.
“You talked to me first.” She simply replied with barely a hint of emotion, breaking eye contact with him to turn around and walk away.
