Chapter 2: Rehearsals

Shouyou's POV

I was nervous..... I still couldn't believe this was actually happening. Tonight was the rehearsal dinner and tomorrow mom would get married to Hoshi-san.... I can't believe this is really happening... Sighing I looked at the mirror and frowned, my tie was still crooked...

"Sho do you need some help?" My mom asked behind me, causing me to jump as I didnt know she had come in...

"Oh mom, yeah thanks..." I said turning around and then froze a second before I broke out in a huge smile "You look beautiful mom!" And she did. She was wearing a white maxi dress that flowed behind her, her auburn hair flowing behind her with white flowers decorating it

"Thank you honey" Mom smiled at me as she walked over and helped with my tie "And you look so nice, cleaned up and well dressed, no one would ever be able to tell what a little monster you were" She laughed ruffling my hair slightly.

"Haha Shouyou's a monster!" Natsu taunted as she ran into the room, coming and clinging to mom

"Oh look, my other little monster!" Mom said laughing musically as she picked up Natsu causing her to giggle as well

"I'm sorry to interrupt.." Hoshi-san said, knocking once on the door

"You're not interrupting anything dear." Mom said holding out the hand she wasn't holding Natsu with, which he happily took, kissing mom on the check.

"Shouyou, Natsu, let me introduce you to my son.." Hoshi-san gestured to the person that I just noticed behind him, I froze "This is Hajime, he'll be your step brother starting tomorrow, son this is Natsu and Shouyou."

"Number 4!" I blurted out, shocked, Seijoh's Ace!!

"What?" Mom asked

"I play volleyball at Aoba Johsai, we played a practice game against Karasuno, so I already know Hinata." Iwaizumi said, explaining to our parents, causing them to nod in understanding

"Ah I see..." Hoshi-san said, seeming unsure of what to say

"Oh Nii-chan now you have someone to talk to about volleyball all the time!" Natsu said looking happy for me

"Yeah.." I laughed nervously and smiled at her, ruffling her hair, I wasn't about to tell her that was probably not gonna happen.... Like ever since he was a rival...

With Natsu having broken the moment of awkwardness we went on with the night, though there was more awkwardness to follow. After all, the whole of both Karasuno's and Seijoh's volleyball team was in the same vicinity, and it wasn't even for volleyball. At first I was extremely worried some kind of fight would break out between the teams, but thankfully no one seemed to want to ruin this night. The teams instead just stayed away from each other mostly, which definitely made it awkward but we worked through it....

"Hinata you're not switching to Seijoh are you!?!" Tanaka and Noya both yelled when I went up to the team shortly after entering the event hall

"No I'm not, Mom said I can still go to Karasuno" I reassured them and they hugged me tightly which made me laugh "Senpai's please calm down..."

"Stop smothering him." Ennosihta said, grabbing them both and pulling them away from me

"That's a long way to travel Hinata, are you sure you'll be alright?" Suga asked looking concerned

"Yeah I'll be fine!" I said smiling brightly

"Okay just make sure your careful." he said ruffling my hair

"Ok Suga-Senpai!"

Last week mom sat me down at the dining room table with Hoshi-san, and told me about how they had talked about me still attending Karasuno. I was so happy. Jumping up and hugging her, thanking her and even Hoshi. She made me sit down and listen to a whole speech about being safe, similar once she gave me back when I finally got her to agree to let me bike to Karasuno. I'm still so relieved by it. I love my team, my first ever team. And though mom put some strict rules on not practicing as late as I do sometimes, as I'd miss the last train if I did, I was over the moon. I didn't have to leave them!
