In the winter forest on the mountain, two Hashira's from the demon slayer corp. was currently duking it out with one protecting the demon and one trying to kill the demon girl.
Date, was the one defending the demon girl, was currently defending against Giyuu's barrage of slashes as Giyuu himself recognizes that Date was stronger than him even in a weaker state than he is now and will try to end things faster.
Giyuu was throwing wide, swift, brash and huge slashes, opposite to his more usual elegant, finessed and quick slashes as Date parries all of them with ease.

Date:"What's wrong, Giyuu? Your more tensed up than usual." He pointed out as Giyuu kept up a straight face.
Giyuu remained silent as he was focused on beating Date and taking advantage of the lack of shade, his head injury and his decreased physical prowess.
Date was known to be one of the strongest Hashira, even without using his breathing style, his still on Hashira level and just behind Gyomei and Tengen in Physical strength.
The fight was going on for a while as Giyuu continues his pursuit of finishing this fight as the Teenager who was saved by Date was looking in shock and impressed as Nezuko was still crying.
Date:"Nehehe~ Put more power into it, Giyuu! I want to enjoy this moment more!" He shouted.
Ofcourse, Giyuu was silent and continued attacking until he made a crucial mistake. Giyuu decided to finish this and did a overhead vertical downward slash towards Date's head, but was blocked.
Seeing the opportunity, Date pushes his shoulder towards Giyuu's abdomen, pushing him back as he throws a horizontal slash to his chest, which missed Giyuu on purpose but managed to cut his demon slayer uniform.
Date:"Tch, lucky bas-Nghh!" He said in pain as he held on his head which was bleeding again.
Giyuu:"You should give up, Date-san. Losing a fellow Hashira will be a great lose to us demon slayers." He suggested.
Date:"Sorry, but I'm a stubborn bastard. I can't agree with you." He rejected.
Giyuu:"Very well, Date-san." He said

And so, Giyuu uses the first form of water breathing as he dashes towards Date and using the momentum to cut Date as he throws it and barely misses.
But this was all part of Giyuu's plan as he twist's his hand and slams his Katana's handle on Date's bleeding head, making Date stumble and making his vision blurry again.
Date:"Nghh! Great thinking, Giyuu." He said in pain.
Thanks to that, all of his capabilities dropped more as his speed and strength all deteriorated to the point where he was struggling to stand up.
