It was later in the day when James started packing again, this time it was a lot neater in comparison to when He threw everything he owned into a tiny bag in a annoyed rage - due to what he thought would be his immediate departure from the school. This time, He felt calm and excited about the night that was to come."Where are you off to?" Wilhelm says to his roommate with a curious face.
"You're not gonna like the answer." James tells him honestly, knowing that his plan to stay with August would most likely annoy Wilhelm more.
"Tell me anyway." He chuckles.
"After we had our fight, I asked to stay with August, he said Agreed and I'm pretty sure he's planned games and snacks for us, so I'm heading over there now."
Wilhelm slightly gags over his friends words, but James just laughs it off as he carries on packing his essentials.
"As long as you're happy." Wilhelm walks over to his bed and pulls out his phone, scrolling through it, secretly looking at Simon's social media to help cure the longing that he had for the boy. James was surprised by Wille's sudden acceptance of who he was making friends with, but he didn't say anything about it.
"And I'm done! I guess I'll see you tomorrow Princeyboy." James goes over and gives him a quick hug before walking out.
"Be safe!" James hears Wille shout as He enters the hallway, He smiles at his friend's worry, happy to finally have their relationship back to normal.
James walks along the many corridors to finally find August's door. He walks up to it, and knocks excitedly.
The door swings open to reveal a tired looking August - making it almost instantly known that he had forgotten all about this sleepover that James had asked for.
"Hey, I brought some chocolate for us." James holds up the two Marabou milk bars that He had gotten a few days prior to arriving at Hillerska - he had been saving them for a special occasion, and what is more special then making friends.
"Oh, yeah, uh, about that, I can't actually do this tonight, it's just that I have a lot of homework, and I don't really want any distractions." He avoids eye contact, confirming James's suspicions that he is in fact lying, but He let it be, As he figured he didn't need to beg someone to hang out with him.
"Okay then, guess I'll see you another time." He walks away without another word, knowing that if He stayed there any longer, He would probably burst again, and after Wilhelm had explained that he was on probation, he wasn't going to risk that getting expelled, just because someone didn't keep their promise.
His walk seemed a lot more impatient and unhinged as He made his way back to his shared dorm. It was no secret that the boy was emotional after what happened in the last few days, and to him, this tiny incident with August just felt like the tip of the iceberg.
He stomped inside the room, slamming the door behind him, making Wilhelm jump at the sudden loud noise.
"Why are you back already, did you forget something?" He looks at James with worry. Lowering the phone that he had been scrolling through.
"No. Get up." James orders him, dumping the prepared overnight bag onto his bed, before making his way to the window, and carefully opening it.
"Why?" He says suspiciously. By the time he had asked, James's body was already half slotted out the window. He jumped down onto the grass and looked back into the room, waiting for Wille to follow his lead.
"Pass me that jacket, would you?" He points to the leather jacket hanging on the coat rack at the bottom of his bed. Wilhelm quickly hands it over. "Come on then, we don't have all day."
