"So, y'all just gone talk to me individually but not gone talk to each other?" Dream looked between her two best friends, both occupied on their business iPhones.
The three of them were currently out for lunch after having spent the day getting themselves together. They went on a mani-pedi date, got their hair done, and went shopping. During the entire time, Jayda and Ariana hadn't said anything to each other, and specifically spoke only to Dream.
She was growing tired of this beef. It had been too damn long.
"I don't have nothing to say." Ariana shrugged, gathering some pasta on her fork, placing it in her mouth afterwards.
"That's literally the problem. Like, literally." Dream shook her head, still looking between the both of them.
"I apologized a thousand times, I broke up with the nigga, I don't know what else I'm supposed to do. I'm not gonna force her to talk to me if she doesn't want to." Jayda shrugged as well, finally putting her phone down, briefly meeting Ariana's glare.
Which was the truth. Jayda had finally 'stood up' and ended her relationship with Dominique a little over two months ago. She was now trying to find herself again, and wasn't interested in relationships at all for right now.
Her and Dominique were obviously still cordial because they shared an entire child together, but didn't communicate about anything besides Loyal. Everybody, including Dominique himself, was surprised that Jayda was genuinely done this time. She was tired of the same constant patterns being repeated, lie after lie.
It was time to put herself first, and she was doing well so far. She was thriving, actually. The only thing she was missing was her best friend-Ariana-who also wouldn't talk to her unless it was about Loyal.
"Ariana c'mon. Forgive and forget, you know?" Dream nudged her shoulder, watching as she slickly rolled her eyes.
"She deserves forgiveness because she said sorry? You think a dead person ah' forgive they murderer just for saying sorry?" She rose and eyebrow in confusion, and Dream smacked her lips.
"Oh girl, please. I ain't just said sorry. I text your phone everyday with paragraphs trying to be friends again, I send you flowers and gifts, and I've given you plenty of time and space. So don't sit up here and act like I'm just some basic ass bitch who expected to be forgave right away with no effort."
"And I still don't have to if I don't want to. Now what?" Ariana left Dream's gaze to look at Jayda, who now had a slight attitude.
"I don't even care what you do at this point, that's why I stopped trying." Jayda shrugged once more, dipping her chicken tender in ranch.
"I never said you had to care, girl. You wouldn't even have shit to apologize for if you hadn't done the shit in the first place."
"Ok Ariana. You act like you wasn't still fucking Bagg when we started talking. I didn't say shit about it and I definitely didn't hold it over your head this long."
